Re: If your favs are out of AO who do you want to win?

Not a Russian, especially not Sharapova, for the sake of our ears.

Re: It's Official: Nicole Vaidisova is coming back! Receives WC for $75,000 Albuquerq

No. It's an USTA tournament, so schedule is wierd. Qualies on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, main draw begins on Tuesday.

Re: Caro to Vika: Don't audition for The Voice

It's a big show on NBC, so even them know.

Re: Welcome La Borz back to Top 10! Jankovic OUT

Her game is also much more enjoyable and interesting than then. Former Wozniacki wouldn't have hitten 26 winners even in a long 3-setter.

Re: Has a tennis player ever knocked over the chair umpire?

I remember one umpire disappearing between two sets this week. Can't remember which match it was, through.

Re: US Open R2: (7) Bouchard def. Cirstea 6-2 6-7(4) 6-4

Bad match for both (the wind didn't helped either), but it's showing than Bouchard is a good player. To me, a good player is a player who finds a way to win even if playing badly (and doesn't fold at...

Re: Osaka Sisters (In Stanford QD) Named Osaka Because Born In Osaka ???

I wouldn't say than Asian and Black are rare ethnicity (I'm using Asian and Black because I doubt most people can recognize speficially Asian and African-American ethnicity) are rare to find. Asian...

Re: Two Russians win WTA Single Titles in the same week

Soviet Union was never focused on tennis. Too capitalist, I suppose.

Re: Who is Genie's Agent?

She is the Nike representative. Don't ask me why she is there, through (perhaps to check if the clothing doesn't malfunction like Nadal shoe two days ago?)

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Well, most people would be sour. That terrible interviewer was acting like if Bouchard was a kid and was only talking about her age. I'm pretty sure than any over-30 player would be annoyed too if...

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Thanks, obviously. I thought she was older. Perhaps Bouchard is walking in her steps.

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Anyone knows who was the last under-20 player to reach a Slam QF?

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Genie fans should be proud of that. People don't hate irrelevant players, they hate talented and/or successful players than they don't like, find boring/annoying/threatning to their fave(s).

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Lauren Davis (68) and Virginie Razzano (100). Terribly weak for a Slam QF, but it's not Bouchard fault (the seeds of her section folded in a premature way).

Re: AO 4R: [30]Eugenie Bouchard def. [WC]Casey Dellacqua 6-7 6-2 6-0

Well, she managed to win her matches and beat unseeded players, unlike all the other seeds in her section...

Re: WWW Australian Open QF: (14/VIP) Aussie Ana vs (30) Eugenie Bouchard?

Ana in 3, sadly. Ana is going too well to lose, despite having a losing record against Bouchard.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol47

Bouchard beated Ana at last Wimbledon, so, I would expect something closer, as Bouchard knows Ana game and how to beat it (the difficulty will be to apply it, knowing doesn't mean winning).

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol47

Why bother energy playing well when the girl on the other side of the net is self-destroying?

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol47

Well, Bouchard is improving. It's much better than at the beginning. She can return, now, and can deal with the wierd old-style game of Dellacqua. But, clearly, it's not a good match for Bouchard...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol47

Those linespeople are dismal and the umpire isn't better. He doesn't look there mentally.

Re: AO R2: Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) [30] def Virginie Razzano 6-2 7-6 (10)

This is 2014, not 1964. If you want to live in the past, that's your issue, but don't drag other people in it!

Re: AO R2: Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) [30] def Virginie Razzano 6-2 7-6 (10)

Expect the first part of the 2nd set, that was a good and entertaining match, which allowed me to discover Razzano. Clearly, at 100, she is underranked.
