Re: Who is Greater? Elena Dementieva or Francesca Schiavone?

If you asked any player which would they would rather have a Grand Slam title or dozens of titles they would tell you a single Grand Slam any day of the week. It's a silly argument. Schiavone has...

Re: 2010 WTA Tour in numbers (only Main Draw matches)

Justine!:worship: But that's what happens when you're not seeded and playing in big tournaments and winning matches.

Re: Bombshell: Clijsters and Wickmayer to play singles, Henin breaks left pink

It looks like Henin is feeling a lot better. She's playing the first singles match today since Kim hurt her foot yesterday in her match against Ani.

Re: Who will win 2010 Indian Wells?

ATP draw is tomorrow. Just WTA today, because they're on a different schedule by a day.

Henin planning comeback in 2009?

Darren Cahill reported on ESPN that Henin is in training 2-3 days a week. Could she possibly be coming back? I hope so, the tour has gone wacko since she's been gone.

Re: Barry what'shisname from Fox Sports is a dirty old man

If you watched the match, you would understand why he said what he said. She kept grabbing at the shorts and fixing them the entire match. It was uncomfortable to watch, and pretty distracting.

Re: Bausch & Lomb tennis is history

This tournament, and its sponsors, got treated pretty badly by the WTA. It should have been given better status than what they were proposing for it.

Re: Can you believe Peter Bodo gets paid to write about tennis?!

You might want to go back and look at what he wrote more closely. He said that the Ginepri/Spadea match was a "match NOT to watch."

Also, he never says anything bad about the girls because...

Re: $50k ITF/Las Vegas final: Camille Pin defeated Asia Muhammed 64 61

Asia got creamed in the second set. She only won three points on her serve the entire set. Still, nice play from Camille, she showed that there is a huge difference between Asia and the top 100. ...

Re: Las Vegas 50K SF: Asia Muhammed def Madison Brengle 63 75

Apparently Asia's fans got out of control during the match. She mentioned that in her interview with Moriaru after the match. A great win for the girl from Andre's school in Las Vegas. Hopefully...

Re: Henin not in Indian Wells?

Henin doesn't like playing these two tournaments back to back. The courts are too different for her tastes. She says that it is rough on her knees to play on the two different courts.

Re: Las Vegas 50k QF...(WC) Muhammed (USA) defeated Bychkova (RUS) 6-3 6-7(5) 6-4

Muhammed also served for the match at 6/5 in the second and got broken at love. Still a nice result for the hometown girl.

Re: henin wins antwerp 63 63 versus Knapp

Whenever I see pictures of Henin hitting the ball, I always notice how her hand looks. I then try to make my fingers go in the same position as hers, and it always hurts. I think she must have...

Re: Henin wants no politics at Games

It didn't matter if she wanted to talk about politics, she couldn't. The Belgian Olympic Committee has also banned their athletes from talking about politics at the Olympics. There's a time and a...

Re: AO 08 SF: (4) Ana Ivanovic def. (9) Daniela Hantuchova 0-6 6-3 6-4

Who didn't see this result coming? Obviously, no one saw the bagel, but Hantuchova has a history of choking away big matches and having topsy turvy three setters.

Great job by Ana to overcome...

Re: Screw A.LANG! Dani got stolen

The linesman called the ball out and then corrected himself. When that happens, the point has to be replayed. Ivanovic challenged the overrule by the linesperson when he corrected himself calling...

Re: AO QF : [4] Ana Ivanovic (SRB) Def. [8] Venus Williams (USA) 7-6 6-4

Venus's net play really let her down today. She had two easy backhand volleys, including set point, in the tiebreak and she shanked them badly. She NEVER makes those misses at Wimbledon.

Re: THE STREAK IS OVER: AO QF: (5) Sharapova WHIPS (1) Henin 6-4, 6-0

Maria played the best I've ever seen her play. She always plays with more variety and moves better against Justine than she does against either of the Williams sisters. Congrats to her!

Re: Career-High Ranking History (Top 30)

Shouldn't you correct this list by having Evonne Goolagong reaching number 1? It may just be an oversight on your part, but I think that she should be put in the number 1 spot.

Re: Sydney Semi: Henin def. Ana 6:2, 2:6, 6:4

Despite playing the worst she's played since her semi loss in Wimbledon last year, Henin won.

That second set was awful. She couldn't get a serve in to save her life, and played so passive. ...

Re: Sydney QF: Justine Henin (1) def. Kaia Kanepi 6-2, 6-0

Honestly, Henin didn't have to do much. Kanepi was overwhelmed, and mishit the ball a lot of the time. Still, a nice win into the semis!
