Re: Larry Scott defends Peer -- future of Dubai tournament is now under review.

I think Shahar Peer has a better chance in a lawsuit against the WTA than the tournament. She's a card holding member of the WTA and ITF. They are suppose to let her play without these sort of...

Re: Larry Scott defends Peer -- future of Dubai tournament is now under review.

Typical WTA stuff. It wasn't a so called last minute "11th hour" denial. According to Doug Robinson (He's the tennis journalist for USA TODAY) it seems to be an issue before Feb 12. I suspect the WTA...

Re: I'm really impressed with Carla Squarez Navarro. She's a future slam champion.

It's a good 1-handed backhand, but not a rocket. It's more traditional looking. Justine is more like a Sveta and doesn't need the pace from the opponent to hit winners.

Navarro does the cross...

Re: I'm really impressed with Carla Squarez Navarro. She's a future slam champion.

This is not true - Justine won her first WTA tournament at Antwerp 1999. She entered from the qualification stage. Justine was 16 Years old!

Then a few weeks later Justine entered her first grand...

Re: Where are the real tennis fans on this board?

One of the big problems on this board are the Glory Hunter type younger tennis fans. All they do is jump on the person winning this week, put their name in the signature and troll on the losing...

Re: Tracy Austin, John McEnroe, Mary Carillo and others are willing JUSTINE to return

Really? I asked alot of people and they told me it was never mentioned before. Justine always gave the impression and the Belgian media that she did have a high school degree. It was Kim that I...

Re: Tracy Austin, John McEnroe, Mary Carillo and others are willing JUSTINE to return

If you don't know the full story or care about Justine - don't bother. The FULL real story. Justine dreamt of winning Roland Garros. She told her mother that she would on the day they viewed the...

Re: RG full main draw!

It's most likely a fake draw. LOL

The pic is Justine from the 2006 RG. If it was the real draw it would've been 2007.

Re: From a purely business standpoint, WTA is probably better off without Henin.

That's not what I'm saying.

If Justine is leaving is good for the WTA - why isn't everyone running to see those articles about Maria taking over the rankings? Or Ana the finalist from RG last...

Re: From a purely business standpoint, WTA is probably better off without Henin.

If your assumption that Justine leaving is great for the WTA. How do you explain this? Shouldn't Maria and Ana gain % rather than lose such a high percentage of interest. There's ROME tournament....

Re: Did Carlos really say that?

No. LOL - The article turned Carlos' quotes upside down.

Carlos had actually said in an interview that some of players say one thing, and another behind Justine's ,but Kunestova was nice, an...

By the way Sveta just defeated the 5 time Wimbledon champion. I guess that's not worthy of a "ridicule" thread. Sveta is a great player

Maria truly beat Justine in Melbourne. She was hitting winners, and doing some amazing shots regardless how the scoreline kept on coming up.

Re: The decline of Henin has started

But since there's an Academy in Orlando- perhaps this will give Justine & Carlos more rivals (Boliteri) and people to pick fights with to spur her on to greatness.

Hopefully - the ugly scoreline...
