Re: Sharapova's nomination for comeback of the year makes no sense

Comeback, to me means you fell from a good position. What did Sharapova end 2013? Like 5? Also, why is Muguruza nominated? She was not a top 30 (or 50) player before.

Re: who's greater: Ana Ivanovic or Svetlana Kuznetsova?

The question is who is greater (career wise). Most of the stats are relatively similar, except Ana has the #1 ranking while Sveta has the extra slam. The reason I voted for Svetlana is because Ana...

Re: Which of these former #1's can we call the biggest failure since 2000?

I voted Jelena because out of all 3 of them she has the game to best win a slam. Dinara got hurt and Wozniacki was just consistent and able to maintain enough points to stay at the top.

Re: Number 1 + 1 Slam or 2 Slams?

Re: Indian Wells QF: (20)Choketta def. (17)Chokestens 6-4 5-7 6-4

Maybe with the way Flavia is racking up points at these big events, maybe a top 10 return is on it's way?

Re: Alisa Kleybanova won WTA's 2013 Comeback of the Year Award!

If she was in the top 100, I would have no problem with her winning this award, but my whole thing is this is a WTA award and not an ITF award. She won four matches on the tour, I'm not discrediting...

Re: U.S. Open QF: (10) Roberta Vinci vs Flavia Pennetta

Forza Pennetta. I think as far as the bottom half is concerned and if Ana or Daniela don't get the job done, Flavia has a better shot than Roberta to beat Vika and make the finals.

Re: BOMSHELL: No more night matches on Arthur Ashe from the bottom half

I don't understand how they can say such a thing when Ivanovic vs Azarenka would be a great night match. So R16 night match will be mens and what? Bryans or Williams doubles?

Re: WWW US OPEN DREAM R1: [1] Errani/Vinci vs [WC] Hantuchova/Hingis

Wow, maybe this opens a spot for Flavia to find a steady partner. If she continues to play next year.

Re: (WWW) Wimbledon 2013 R4: (20) Flipkens vs. Pennetta

This is what has become so nice about this bottom half. With Vika and Maria out of the draw, really anybody can win. Sloane, Petra and Marion are the obvious favorites but don't count out any of...

Re: AO F: [1] Errani/Vinci def. [WC] Barty/Dellacqua 6-2, 3-6, 6-2

To think, a year ago they were at the finals to lose to Sveta and Vera. These former "MM doubles champs" have come so far. Nobody saw them winning 3 slams or becoming the dominate team they were...

Re: Errani's records against top 5 players: 0 - 23

She beat who she was suppose to beat, usually. That's why she's so high. Most people lose to "fluke" players. I don't mean terrible players, I mean like your average maybe 30-50 players.
