The pride of South East Asia!
i'll never forget that she spoke to me in Malay when I told her I'm from Singapore in Roland Garros 2008.

they were very willing to fund latisha despite her increasing weight, but refused to give monetary assistance...

Re: Steffi Graf named Zhuhai Tournament Ambassador

steffi should at least be involved minimally in YEC.
it's quite an insult that almost every other GOAT in women's tennis is involved in YEC except Steffi and she endorses the lesser version of the...

Re: Inflating the local player's ranking

This is ridiculous.
A tournament is awarded its status by its facilities and ability to hold a tournament.
If Gifu and Anning have the means to run a tournament smoothly and up to a standard worthy...

"Madison Keys" syndrome

Hi all,

I have been playing tennis for about 15 years and I've grown to become quite good.
The thing is I can hit spectacular winners from anywhere on the court (particularly my forehand) but 90%...

Re: Miami F: Azarenka completes the Sunshine Double, def. Kuznetsova 63 62

well done vika! :clap2:
in my heart i was secretly hoping that she flops so that kim will remain the last player to achieve this feat. :oh:
nevertheless, happy for victoria after her unfortunate...

Re: Aus Open Final: (7) Angie Kerber SHOCKS (1) Serena Williams 6-4 3-6 6-4

I was supporting Serena to equal Steffi but Angie totally deserved this win.
All the passing shots are so so good!
Her movement reminded me of Kim at her peak where nothing could get past her!...

Re: Tarpishchev to Sugarpova: if you don't play Fed cup, don't bother going to Rio'

Didn't she play against Poland last year?
Must it be this year to be eligible for Rio?
I don't think Maria gives a sh*t...
Please watch her skip this tie and see Tarpishev eat his words.
Not the...

WTA championship 1973

I noticed that back in 1973, the YEC did not feature Margaret Court (Winner of Australian, French and US) and Billie Jean King (Wimbledon). Does anyone know the reason?
I'm just curious because...

Re: Asian swing flops: it was obvious the tour was going to hit rock bottom

i don't follow the logic here.
several players would have withdraw due to injury no matter the location.
there's no guarantee that serena wouldn't have withdrawn if the yec is held in europe or US....

Re: Dubai QF: [17] Ka. Pliskova edges out unlucky [11] Lucie Safarova 3-6 7-6(5) 6-1

thanks to your clip, i can be even more sure that the umpire made a mistake. she clearly looked away before the ball bounced on pliskova's court. now if that doesn't constitute to bad umpiring, i...

Re: Dubai QF: [17] Ka. Pliskova edges out unlucky [11] Lucie Safarova 3-6 7-6(5) 6-1

 you said it yourself that the situation is 50-50 and you're asking if i'm for real? and i'm pretty sure it was in as i saw the official video clip that WTA put on its website. If they...

Re: Dubai QF: [17] Ka. Pliskova edges out unlucky [11] Lucie Safarova 3-6 7-6(5) 6-1

that umpire deserves to be slapped with a heavy fine, or barred from umpiring all together. :fiery:

Re: PEAK XWTA Clijsters Invitational REAL ANTWERP FINAL: Clijsters d. Petkovic 5-3

kim still has it. except her serve, she's clearly top 20 material. still sliding as if it's 2005.
never expected this but it feels good to be cheering for kim's winners again! :woohoo:

Re: Who has been pleasantly surprised by Singapore's YEC?

From a fan's point of view, it's pretty good. However, the people were not sitting at their designated seats and moving around when points were being played. The stadium also really needs to find a...

Re: YEC Singapore - speed of the court? Any thoughts?

I've actually hit on the surface and the surface is really fast. And not that it matters to the singles players, but it takes slices very well. The balls just skid off the surface.
