Re: Roland Garros R1: Julia Georges gets through Matilda Johannson 6-1 6-4

* Bump*

Does anyone remember Stephanie Rottier? She was 1-18 in Grand Slam matches.
Just curious if someone remembers a journeywoman of 20 years ago.

Re: Will anyone ever beat Margaret Court's record 24 slam single titles?

It's very difficult, but in the end it's just 175 matches. Wozniacki plays half of that amount every year.

Re: Nostalgia is nice but Graf's era has passed

Kimiko does pretty well I think. She is ranked higher than 20 years ago.
You can compare her a bit too Nadia Petrova (former world no. 3) when it comes to results in her first career.

The median career length had increased by 43% in a period of ten years according to a research a few years ago:

Re: How many Grand Slams would Monica Seles have won if she didn't get stabbed?

She won against Steffi Graf only at Roland Garros and the Australian Open (slower surfaces) and the last two matches were 3-setters.
We never know if she would have beaten Graf at Roland Garros...

Re: Present Form Kimiko date Krum vs. Steffi Graf who would win?

Re: Just how clueless are the British Eurosport commentators, you ask?

They showed Jarmila Groth 3 times in a row during a match on Eurosport last week and commentator Kristie Boogert (former WTA player)didn't have a clue who it was.
