Re: Serena Naked and pregnant on the cover of Vanity Fair

Thank You. As for her being 8 weeks pregnant playing makes me nervous at the thought. At her age, first pregnancy, first trimester the chances of a spontaneous abortion are enormous in addition to...

I didn't read the article but did any portion of it discuss John McEnroe's comments something to the effect Serena was a great player but would be ranked around 700 on the tour???

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 110

I have to think though in another year Ostapenko, when she develops strategy she's gonna be dangerous.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 110

She has the fire power, she needs to learn to control it better. What do I know she made the finals of a slam, LOL.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 110

I think if she adds a little top spin going forward it would cut down on her errors, I wonder if she will change it up a bit or if she, at her age doesn't recognize it?

Re: Ostapenko hits faster forehands than the men's world #1

True, not saying she's a BBB mode but she only knows hit hard and harder. I do think Karo's also in the mid's 70's when she played Halep as well.

Re: WWW RG QF Mladenovic + French crowd vs Timea Bacsinszky

KiKi has beat her 3 times on clay, including their last meeting this year.

Re: WWW RG QF Mladenovic + French crowd vs Timea Bacsinszky

This is probably going to be a repeat from their last meeting, going with KiKi in 3.

Re: Congrats to the NEW Grand Slam Winner!

I just don't see it, losing to CiCi and KiKi this year on clay and I have to think she isn't the great clay specialist your saying.

Re: Who will win her maiden GS title at Roland Garros?

ha ha so true, I can see that. Simo without the crowd pressure would be my pick but with the crowd it would likely be KiKi.

Re: Who will win her maiden GS title at Roland Garros?

Yes, she was very mentally tough today, I like her chances. If she were to win the title her endorsements would be huge, I think more so than if any other lady wins it.

Re: Who will win her maiden GS title at Roland Garros?

1) KiKi
2) Simo
3) Elina

but not necessarily in that order.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 109

This match should have been over had Venus not choked away the 2nd set.

Re: Roland Garros R4: (13) Kristina Mladenovic def. (4) Garbiñe Muguruza 6-1 3-6 6-3

Why didn't Mugs get a warning for abusing the ball kids?

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 109

I wouldn't call it a choke, it's just the fact her FH isn't even at a junior level and it never will be.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 109

Well, Vee's match isn't so bad, she clawed her way back which makes me happy. She finally decided to attack Timea's non-existent FH.
