Re: WWW AO R2 Serena Williams vs Hsieh?

Though I wish it were otherwise, I think it's going to be hard for Su just to win even a game. She'll need Serena to have a flop return day, and even then I'm thinking like 62 62 for Serena.

Re: AO R1: Su-Wei Hsieh def. Jelena Ostapenko 36 75 61

Glorious Su is glorious :hearts:

Didn't feel like she was moving all that well, however.

Re: Which matches featuring your fav still haunt you to this day?

Two USO semis: 2007 & 2010

With one it was like "Girl, learn how to play a tiebreak"

With the other it was more "Girl, learn how to play"

Re: Cincinnati Final: Chan/Chan def. Dellacqua/Shvedova: 7-5 6-4

YJ :hearts:

It's been way too long since she's collected a quality trophy! Congrats!

Re: Cincinnati QF: Hsieh/Chuang def. (2)Babos/Mladenovic 4/6 6/4 13/11

^ They are both so weird about it.

Chuang especially, I feel. She really has never seemed into committing to a partner since all that flopping she did a few years back with Govortsova.

Re: Cincinnati QF: Hsieh/Chuang def. (2)Babos/Mladenovic 4/6 6/4 13/11

Yas Hsieh finally took out Mladenovic :hearts:

Re: Wimby R3 Su-Wei & PEnnetta stifle the Germanics ALG/CCV 3-6/6-0/9-7

Another QF :hearts:

Honestly I questioned their likelihood of success when they first teamed up, but they've really only gotten better with each tournament. If they can win another round or two...

Re: Success on both sides?

Chan immediately springs to mind, as I believe she prefers the ad side (which she currently plays with Zheng), but she played the deuce side when partnering Chuang back in 07-08, and made GS finals...

Re: RG QF: [9] Hlavackova/Hradecka def. [4] Hsieh/Pennetta 7-5 3-6 7-5

Very disappointing. I thought they'd be able to change the momentum after saving those match points.

Re: RG R3: (29) Alize Cornet (FRA) def. Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (CRO) 4:6 6:3 7:5

Alizé :hearts: Finally a 4R at the home slam!

Not surprised at the result, but thought it would be more routine, to be honest. Though some will call it "peak pushing" as I see above, Cornet does...

Re: Errani and Vinci break up

I don't think Hsieh/Vinci would work if Hsieh had such a hard time on the BH side with Mirza. There's no way in hell I could see Vinci over there attempting to slice everything crosscourt

Re: IW R4: (27) Timea Bacsinszky def. (23) Elina Svitolina 46 61 61

I am truly so pleased with this turn of form for Timea.

I remember her really taking it to Safina back at the USO 08 and thought she had a bright future and a lovely backhand. Glad to see that...

Re: WTA H2H that never happened

They definitely played here a couple of years ago. And at Wimbledon as well.

Re: Doha QF: (1)Hsieh/Mirza def. Krajiceck/Zahalova-Strycova : 6-0 6-1

Obliterated them! Both played phenomenally, it was great to see.

Re: AO F: Mattek-Sands/Safarova def [14] Chan/Zheng 6-4 7-6(5)

Very sad for Jie and Yung-jan

They really had several chances to build on their momentum and close out the second, but they just couldn't make it work. Definitely a level or two below their...

Re: AO F: Bethanie Mattek-Sands/Lucie Safarova vs (14)Yung-jan Chan/Jie Zheng

^ Chan has 11 doubles titles, but this would be her first slam.

Hoping that she and Jie can continue their dominant performance in the final.

Re: Australian Open SF: (14) Chan/Zheng def. (13) Krajicek/Zahlavova Strycova 6-3 6-2

That MP  that was so insane, literally clipping the very edge of the corner.

Once again an impeccable performance from Jie and YJ, and against another quality team.

Can't wait for the...

Re: QF: Chan/Zheng (TPE/CHN) def. Jans-Ignacik/Klepac (POL/SLO) 61 62

Wonderful play from Chan and Zheng again. Once again controlled both the back and the front of the court superbly.

Looking forward to their SF against Krajicek/BZS

Re: 2015 AO 4R: [11] Cibulkova def. Azarenka 6-2 3-6 6-3

Wonderful match, and absolutely thrilled for Domi! That fighter in her seems to come through even stronger when she's got a lot to defend.

Good luck in the QF. Two consecutive AO SFs would be...

AO R3: Chan/Zheng (14) d. Hingis/Pennetta (4) 63 63

EXCELLENT play from YJ & Jie! So solid from the baseline, and by far the better aggressors at net. Took way more chances than the 4th seeds and it paid off!

Martina and Flavia did not play their...
