Re: XWTA Legends Li & Pierce Steal Spotlight @ Singapore YEC 1500 (Pics Inside)

Only spoke to her for legit 15 seconds but she was really cool, I mentioned I was from Australia and we talked about how much she loves the country. Also, spoke about her 1995 title.

Re: Total of TWO Questions asked to the ladies who won Australian Open Doubles in med

Recently I worked at a ATP/WTA tournament and the men's final had just finished. In walked the ATP handler and asked who was interested in bringing them into press, the answer - no one. They came...

Re: Sydney F: Tsvetana Pironkova def. [5] Angelique Kerber 6-4 6-4

What an incredible match, I was lucky enough to be in the stadium and Tsveti playing incredible!

The Bulgarian's backhand was incredible, honestly - what a performance!

Re: Sydney R1: Kanepi def. Duval 6-1, 6-3

Duval is currently on grandstand hitting serves, clearly not happy with her level of play today

Re: The Best of Marion Bartoli - Career in Review

Good highlights package!

The match that really stands out for me was when she beat Serena in 2011 at Wimbledon. I was rooting for Serena but it was hard not to be happy for Marion, the gutsy way...

Tennis podcasts

Sorry if this post has come before but I am curious to know what tennis podcasts people listen to and what they think of them. I think podcasts are really interesting - they allow for tennis...

Re: Serena insecure because Sharapova is a hot blond - Courtney Nguyen, SI

Completely disagree with the Starin's comments, as others have stated - s/he is well off the mark from what Courtney says. I will say I am a big fan of the podcast and both Courtney and Ben's work...

Re: Favorite & Least Favorite Tennis Stadium?

I have only been to a few tournaments and broadly speaking they all have good courts.

Brisbane - Pat Rafter Arena is really modern, despite its relevant big size (i think 5000+) it feels really...

Re: More sexism in tennis than in other sports? - part 1 (article)

Definitely. Majority of the older journalists/commentators I dont think really value the WTA as an equal to the ATP. Rothenberg, Nguyen and to a certain extent Cronin are changing the game and...

Re: Bruce Jenkins stirs the IW/WS shitpot

Serena commented about Newman's article on twitter when someone asked her what she thought about the opinion piece. Interesting - you never really see Serena talk about Indian wells!

Re: AO R2: Robson def. Kvitova 2-6 6-3 11-9

Oh wow! The first two sets were terrible. Channel 7 put up a ridiculous stat where only 12 minutes of game of the 2 hour game at that stage, was actually match play. I feel so bad for Kvitova - she...

Re: AO Rnd 2: Queen Venus d. Alize Cornet 6-3 6-3 Bagelpova next!!!!

haha, that was a terrible match from both players. I am so glad Venus won though. The serve was not there tonight but lucky her backhand was. Also made some nice net approaches. Venus is sooo sweet,...

Re: AO R1: Venus Williams def Voskoboeva 6-1 6-0

Watched from start to finish and was so impressed with Venus' ROS and forehand. She was on fire. Venus faced a couple of break points but dropped some huge serves to save them. That is the best I...

Re: Sydney QF: A. Radwanska def. Vinci 6-4, 7-5

Lucky enough I was at the match. It was a good game - Radwanska was coming to net a lot. She is looking really fit again this season. Watch out WTA!

Re: It's safe to say that Serena will win AO2013

I think Serena will win. That being said I think Azarenka is her biggest rival - saw her practicing in Brisbane and watched her for about 20 minutes. It was a really intense session with her...

Re: Today's performance by Maria was the best performance of the year

I remember being in RLA this year watching Maria and Angie's match. Maria just does everything better than Angie and because of that is a dream match up. I still think Maria's best tourney this year...

Re: Did the WTA airbrush Barthel's face?
