Re: Give us one more year, Rennae!

I've retrieved my password and signed into this forum for the first time in ages to ask you to keep playing! You're still a great player and so entertaining to watch. We will miss you so much if you...

Re: Tennis at 2010 Commonwealth Games

It was quite amusing when Anastasia tried to challenge her own serve after they'd lost the point. Given how exhausted she must have been by that point and how badly Hanley was playing I think she...

Re: Virginia Ruano Pascual retires

 Such a shame she never got to win Wimbledon. :( Still, she had a fantastic career and, as everyone has already said, was always a joy to watch on court, particularly with Paola, as they both so...

Re: I had no idea the USO was played in Antwerp!

Well, I'm not a Venus fan and never have been, however, watching the Venus - Kim match, I was shocked at how the crowd appeared to be obviously supporting Kim against an American player. I do find it...

Re: Wimbledon ticket rip off

I queued for the first week of Wimbledon for 10 years, until I made the decision to stop last year, after coming to the conclusion that the ridiculously high ticket prices and the way you are treated...

Re: "Sold out" games, empty seats

I think part of the reason at Wimbledon is that they re-sell tickets inside the grounds for £5 (with the money going to charity). If people aren't going to attend they are encouraged to return their...

Re: OG QF: [4] Serena Williams vs [5] Elena Dementieva

It's a tough match to predict. Either player could win, depending on how they play. I hope Elena wins, so that's what I'm predicting! ;)

Re: Questions about tennis at these Olympics...

Ranking points didn't used to be awarded. I can't remember which Olympics they were first awarded in, maybe Sydney or Athens?!? It was supposed to encourage more top players to play. I remember the...

Re: Olympic tennis-do you agree with limiting the number of players each country can

Yes, there should be limitations on how many players each country can have in their team. The Olympics isn't like a Grand Slam, it is about the best athletes from all different countries, all over...

Re: Absurdity of Olympic Tennis Tournament

Great article. All very valid points. The doubles seeding based on singles rankings is stupid and the fact that someone ranked 1025 is playing in the mens draw is beyond ridiculous.

Re: Organizers of Olympic Games in China NOT happy about the situation in tennis....

I can kind of understand that these players wanted to go to the Olympics to take part in the ceremony, be in the village etc. since they had qualified by their ranking and the Olympics only come...

Re: Should tennis be in the Olympics?

I like that tennis is an olympic sport again, but I don't like that ranking points are now awarded. The Olympics are supposed to be about just competing for the medals. If players aren't happy to...

Re: Eurosport Not Showing Any Olympics Tennis!

I'm sure they'll show some tennis on BBCi. This from their Olympic website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/olympics/7102062.stm

Re: When is Laura Robson playing again?

Yeah, tennis is really not big here, aside from Wimbledon. Unless she achieves something huge in the meantime, I imagine the media won't bother her too much now until the grasscourt season next year....
