Re: Your tennis results?!

I got injured in my elbow while practising for the finals of open tournament and lost 6-4, 6-3.

I'm so disappointed. Every serve and forehand I hit put me in so much pain but my backhand was fine....

Re: Carlos Rodriguez : "I fear the Williams sisters, Jankovic and Kuznetsova for Just

Yes. Jankovic was in control and once again couldn't close out Justine. Same thing happened at the start of their H2H USO 06.

She really lacks belief against Justine. She doesn't seem like one for...

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

Conversely, I've hit 4 serves to win the game.

0-0: Slice serve out wide ace.
15-0: Flat serve out wide ace
30-0: Flat serve up the T ace
40-0: Flat serve out wide service winner.

That was...

Re: Tennis Racket Question

Seems you are talking about 2 different things.

A head light, heavy, midplus (and below) racquet will provide a player with more ball control than a head heavy, light, Oversize racquet, everything...

Re: Tennis Racket Question

In 2003 Serena played with the Hyper Hammer h6, OS version which has a 110 sq in racquet head.
She is currently playing with a kblade with a 104 sq in head.
If you put both racquets on top of the...

Re: players who won FO and Wimbledon back to back?

It is difficult to win the FO and Wimbledon back to back when there are great clay courters and grass courters playing on both the men's and women's tours.
Nobody won the FO/Wimbly combo when Pete...

Re: Order Restored: Williamses At #1 And #2 Again

This is pretty amazing. How long ago were they #1 and #2?

To regain this in the latter part of their careers is pretty amazing.

Re: Whos the favorite going into RG?

Justine to me, is still the favourite to win the tournament.

She is natural on the clay, she will have a day rest between matches, the French crowd will absolutely cheer and help their comeback...

Re: Your tennis results?!

Played a 4.0 tournament this weekend. It was VERY windy and that is my achille's heel.

I made it to the semis and lost 0 and 3.
There was a bit of tension in the match because I yelled and cursed...

Re: 4 double faults in a row to lose game?

Done it. On more than one occasion I'm afraid.
I played a tournament this weekend and it was SO windy and my toss is steffi-graf high so the wind would take it everywhere. Not to mention I had run...

Re: who's better in clay? Graf or Justine?

It's such a tough shot to hit, more for a woman because of the shoulder strength required. Then there's the timing,...

Re: who's better in clay? Graf or Justine?

This is the match that made me a fan of Justine's game. I can't tell you how far my jaw dropped when Justine came in and hit a 1 handed backhand drive volley off one of Conchita's moonballs. As 1...

Re: who's better in clay? Graf or Justine?

He is actually right. It is easier to hit a slice off a topspin shot than to return the topspin shot with a topspin shot of your own.

The reason is, the ball with topspin coming towards you is...

Re: Stuttgart SF: Justine Henin d. Shahar Peer 63 62

I love watching her move on clay. It really is a lesson in clay footwork every time I watch her.
