Re: #1 Mouthwatering clash at AO 2016?

I'm thinking if Chrissie and Martina have been partying too much in Aspen this big lanky new Czech Sukova can cause havoc with her huge serve. Chrissie has renouned ball control though, just ask the...

Re: Zhuhai event shows why ATP ahead of WTA

Radwanska was panic attacking that her playing one million tournaments wasn't going to get her into the YEC and that she might not do well there when she said this. Hopefully now that she won it and...

Hong Kong R1: Anastasia Rodionova d. Irina Ramialison (Q) 6-4 7-5

Needed at least 6 match points, double faulted on two of them. With play like that if only Ana had played more singles this year she could have been a YEC contender. Double faults, unable to control...

Re: Beijing R2: (6) Ana Ivanovic def. Venus Williams 7-6 (3) 6-2

I guess Venus probably shouldn't have played but kinda had to try. Hopefully she does well in Hong Kong but I don't see her chasing last minute points or showing up as an alt. YEC could do with her...

Re: Beijing R2: Lucic-Baroni d. Bencic w/o

Sad for Belinda but she's played lots of tennis so needs to look after herself. Does Mirjana get round three points even if she loses?

Is Lucic-Baroni cleanest hitter of ball when on? (Wuhan vid v Stosur)

Serena is a league above all when on obviously but Mirjana's highs can be higher than practically anyone imo. Of course it counts more if you can do it consistently week after week but this...

Quebec City QF :Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (2) d.Samantha Crawford (Q) 4-6 6-4 6-1

Miki loves this tournament and loves being champion so fought back from 6-4 2-0. Some big serving and hitting from Crawford too but Miki found the road back. Securely back into the top 100 again...

$25K Landisville QR1: Julia Cohen d. Akiko Okuda 6-4 6-3

Tennisforum sweetheart Julia is back (well for a week anyway at a relatively local event for her) and snapped her 17 match losing streak!

It's Errani & Pennetta in Toronto

Seeded 6th but with tough opener against Pavlyuchenkova and Kudryavtseva. Will be very interested to see if they can bring their good Fed Cup play onto the WTA tour. Vinci is playing with Jankovic.

Toronto QR2 : Lucic-Baroni d. Sasnovich 6-2 4-6 7-6 (4)

Relieved to see Mirjana make the main draw. She made hard work of this one, was up 4-0 in final set, served for it at 5-4 and then had to serve to stay in it at 5-6. Good for her to win a tight one,...

Hingis v Williams' sisters in doubles

Hey guys, is there a doubles head to head break down anywhere that you know off? I know Hingis only has two wins (one with Monica Seles and one with Mirjana Lucic-Baroni) but I can only think of two...

Re: Is Venus jealous of Serena?

Why did Michelle Obama not jet in to support her nation's finest sportswoman get this achievement? Jealous too, I'd say.

Wimbledon QR1 : An-Sophie Mestach (2) d. Anastasia Rodionova 6-3 6-2 (nice handshake)

Straightforward win for the Belgian but Rodionova's blatant look of contempt at the handshake as well as Mestach's obvious dislike of her opponent made it all worthwhile.

$50K Surbiton R2: Naomi Broady beat Petra Cetkovska (3) 6-1 7-5

Big Naomi flailing away at her groundstrokes and serving big this week. All Brit quarter final with Amanda Carreras now. 6'2" v 5'2". Petra struggling to get back to form :-(

$50K Surbiton R2: Amanda Carreras d. Stephanie Foretz (7) 6-4 2-6 6-3

An extremely rare outing for GB's Mandy C away from clay this week and seems she may be adapting ok to the grass. Beat a fellow Brit wild card in the first round but this is a very good win for her...

Mrs Baroni transitioning nicely to grass after her fine Parisian escapades. Nice job.

$25K Mumbai QF : Webley-Smith d. (1) Mayr-Achleitner 7-6(6) 2-6 7-5

Journeywoman defeats vulture in epic showdown in a far off land. Emily adds Patricia to Paszek in Austrian players she's protected her turf against this year.

Re: 43 YO Former XWTA #47 Maureen DRAKE Continues Comeback In $0.05M Saguenay Next We

Poor deluded old Maureen. Having the audacity to label this as a comeback. You can't come back if you've never been there in the first place honey.

Tianjin R2 : Su-Wei Hsieh d. (5) Shuai Zhang 3-6 6-3 7-6 (5)

Nice to see talent ousting a manufactured player. Takes the H2H 4-2 in Su-Wei's favour.

Tianjin R1 : Su-Wei Hsieh d. Anastasia Rodionova 6-1 6-1

Su-Wei showing a bit more singles form lately, maybe she has woke up and is working a bit harder. I hope she sticks around, she offers something different. Always good to see Rodionova made look...

Quebec R1 : Olga Savchuk d. Gabriela Dabrowski 6-3 7-5

Olga clearly displaying solid top 10 form here. I expect her to be a threat for everyone and is obviously gearing up to launch a strong challenge in the next slam in Melbourne.
