Re: US Open R64: (32) A. Mauresmo d. K. Kanepi 2-6 6-4 6-0

It'd be AMAZING if she could make it to the QF! And her chances are good now!

Re: US Open R64: (32) A. Mauresmo d. K. Kanepi 2-6 6-4 6-0

Did anyone watch this match? It looked like in the highlights that Amelie was not moving well - and, can someone post the stats (winners, UE, etc.)?

Re: Cincinnati: R2: (3) Maria KIRILENKO def. (Q) Stephanie Dubois 1-6 6-2 7-5!!!!

They laughed with each other - he was wanting her to work on a slice backhand, and she hit a few and then said she wanted to hit flat instead. He also made a joke about how bad his eyesight is :) ...

Re: Cincinnati: R2: (3) Maria KIRILENKO def. (Q) Stephanie Dubois 1-6 6-2 7-5!!!!

I saw the third set of this match - Maria did a really good job of throwing in loopy balls and then coming into the net to finish off points. I also got to watch her practice yesterday - her coach...

Re: Serena vs Henin: Why is this such a heated topic?

Justine leads Serena 4-2 in Grand Slam matches. For me, that's an important stat.

Re: Montréal 2R : [4] S. Kuznetsova (RUS) Def. [Q] A. Kudryavtzeva (RUS) 6-1 1-0 Ret.

I hate retirements :( So freaking annoying... we used to never have so many retirements.

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

I think every player on the WTA tour is a fighter - just not everyone screams and is vocal about it like Serena. You don't think Martina fought for every point? Or Justine? Or Maria? Everyone...

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

But Hingis ALWAYS finished the match! I think she only retired from like 2-3 matches in her entire career. Don't bring Martina up in this thread. This is about Serena.

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

Um, Moriah I am a 4.0 USTA tennis player here in the states... so, yes, I understand pain and tennis. And if I'm in THAT much pain, I won't step foot on the court. I've sprained my ankles and...

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

OMG, I just said Serena wasn't 100%, but I GUARANTEE she wouldn't have retired if she were winning. That's ALL I'm saying - and that is my opinion. If you disagree with it, sorry.

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

How do you play 12 games if you can't walk? Bottom line - she wasn't 100%, but Serena thought she would able to beat a qualifier anyway... she was wrong, she was losing, so she quit. It's not a big...

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

Sorry, but we have already seen this before during the YEC when she retired against Chakvetadze. You don't have to get so defensive. At least it's not as bad as Cibulkova's retirement yesterday!

Re: Wozniak def. Serena 6-2 3-1

Serena: "Oh, crap... I'm down a set and a break... better retire and not let this QUALIFIER have the satisfaction of beating me!!"

Re: Serena hungry for another GS

Serena is hungry alright - that's why she's 20 pounds heavier now than she was in her prime.

Re: Vee had an injury at Wimbledon

For those of you who actually PLAY tennis, you'll know that you never step on the court 100% fit if you play enough. Steffi Graf was "injured" every tournament she played, but she still won every...
