Re: Madrid R3: Sevastova def. Arruabarrena 7-5 6-2

Sevastova's body language is something else.

You don't return to the tour if you don't want to go for the big titles, especially if you've won them before. I feel like the returns of Kim and Justine have created unrealistic expectations for...

Re: Istanbul SF: Mertens takes apart Begu 6-1 6-1

Lots of Begu's errors were the direct result of Elise's defense. Utilised the claycourt perfectly. I do hope she'll learn to go for her shots a bit more -- she played much more aggressive during Fed...

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol 108

Re: Istanbul R2: Mertens sends Errani into space, d. 7-6/3-6/6-3

Errani played like a wall when 4-0 down in the last set. Mertens did well, but needs to play more aggressive. It was only after her coach instructed her that she started taking the balls earlier...

Re: Rank the movement of Capriati, Clijsters, Venus, and Dementieva from best to wors

Kim had the best and most consistent mix of footwork, anticipation and footspeed IMO.

I do wonder why Justine is always left out of conversations about movement, though. Excellent footwork and...

Re: RG Final Muguruza takes 1st GS title def Serena 'lost 2 GS Final in a row' 7-5 6-

Thrilled for Garbine. She absolutely earned it, went for her shots when she needed to but played a kind of controlled aggression that the tour severely lacks right now. One of many GS, I hope.

Re: WWW RG Final (1) Serena '22' Williams vs (4) Garbine '1' Muguruza

Happy with either player winning. I'd love Serena to get 22, but it'd be lovely if Garbine could get her maiden GS title against Serena. I just hope it'll be a tightly contested match!

Re: Wimbledon Final (1) Serena Williams def (20) Garbine Muguruza 6-4 6-4

Congrats Serena. GOAT.

I really hoped Garbine could win a set, but i'm proud of her. Who would've thought she'd make the final here. She's still got lots of things to work on, but that's an...

Re: Wimbledon R3; (20) Muguruza def. (10) Kerber 7-6 (14-12) 1-6 6-2

Muguruza :inlove: this match should make a great highlights reel, so many stunning points.

Re: PEAK XWTA Clijsters Invitational REAL ANTWERP FINAL: Clijsters d. Petkovic 5-3

Kim's just a superb ball striker. The angles she produces are top notch, even if she's unfit.

Re: AO Final: SICK Serena Williams def. Maria Sharapova 63 76(5)

Entertaining match. When Sharapova plays well this is actually a fun match up, even when the result is nid.
Nice speeches from both too. I'd like Serena to get to 22 now.

Re: The short angle

Kim used to play this shot very often on the backhand side to open up the court. When Pavlyuchenkova is playing well she's able to pull off that same tactic as well.
