Re: Rome: Another "Expert's" prediction

Keys made the Rome final last year, defeating Kvitova and Muguruza on the way. She's actually shown some promise on clay.

Re: 25K Dunakeszi SF: 14 yo (WC)Marta Kostyuk d. (7)Alexandra Cadantu, 3 & 3

Laura Robson made a $75K semifinal in 2008 as a 14 year old. I know that's not what you asked, but I just wanted to relive a moment when she was a prospect. :p

Re: Biel Final (Q)'17 years old' Vondrousova takes 1st WTA title def Kontaveit 6-4 7-

She didn't skip the junior/girl career. She was the #1 junior in the world 2 years ago.

Re: Best Meltdowns of 2016 on the WTA...

Both Ostapenko and Broady came out of that match looking bad. Broady may be British, but it's impossible for me to root for her.

Re: Which Veteran Could Win A Slam Now

I think it's fair to call her a veteran. She's been in the top 100 since 2006.

Re: Muguruza: "Clay is my territory", "Serena dominance has to change one day"

I don't see where she actually called herself the queen of clay. She said clay is her territory, meaning it's the surface she feels most comfortable on. There's nothing even remotely boastful about...

Re: Madrid R1. Victoria Azaranka def Laura Robson 64 62

The ball striking is still there for Laura. This gives me hope for the future.

Re: Does Sloane Stephens Have The Most Visually Appealing Groundstrokes... EVER???

I agree with many comments on here. Cetkovska has beautiful strokes. I'm sure no one will agree with me, but I love watching Pavlyuchenkova play, even her forehand.

Re: ITF Junior Masters final: (2)Anna Blinkova d. (1)Katie Swan, 6-4 6-7(1) 7-6(4)

I'm disappointed in the result, obviously, but I'm glad to see it was such a competitive encounter.

Not exactly. Only players born 1998 and later are juniors. ;)

Re: Who has the BEST backhand out of these players ?

The OP isn't asking who has the best backhand out of everyone, just who has the best backhand out of these choices.

Re: Youngest Junior Slam Winners?

Well, if she wins a match I'd considered that big at this point. ;) Honestly though, I'm actually really looking forward to next year for her. The rest of the year is just about getting back to being...

Laura Robson winning Wimbledon in 2008 at 14. Her career hasn't quite gone according to plan though.

Re: Fed Cup Group III: Wozniacki (DEN) def. Ibbou (ALG) 6-2 6-1

Too many posters are preoccupied with a player's ranking and not other factors, like the fact that Ibbou is only 16 and has shown some promise.

Re: Miami R1: (wc)CiCi Bellis (USA) d. (wc)Indy de Vroome (NED) 62 62

I really like Diyas, but I would like to see CiCi play Serena, so I don't mind what happens in the next round.
