Re: RG R1: (Q) Abanda d. (WC) Andrianjafritrimo 6-3 6-4

Baby Venus. :hearts: She's had easy draws in the past but always found a way to mess things up so good job. :yeah:

Re: WWW FO R1 Petra (Welcome back) Kvitova vs Julia Boserup

It really annoys me not knowing what her level is. :hysteric: I am expecting anything from a straightforward loss to a straightforward win because Boserup is a walking bye and it will only depend on...

Re: RG Dutch FQR: Lemoine d. Rus 2-6 7-6 6-3

Lemoine is literally a Kerber-lite. Really nice game to watch and she fights really hard too.

I rarely say this but Rus really deserved that violation because she was still standing in the...

:bigcry: Didn't think today could get any worse than it was. Get well soon, Laura. :sobbing:

Re: RGQ R1: Nicole Gibbs def. Tamara Zidansek 6-3,7-5

She was injured during the summer last year, even had to skip her debut slam at USO IIRC and was most likely injured this year too. She likes to play a lot and would definitely not miss the entire...

Re: Nürnberg R1: (4) Laura Siegemund def. (WC) Katharina Hobgarski 6-0 6-1

Only saw the last couple of games but Laura was intense and gave no fucks about the scoreline. 3 great forehand winners in the last game.

Re: FO QR1 Jang S. J. d. Kalinina 6-4 6-3

Bad loss for Kalinina, though I feel like she normally would've played at least one tournament on red clay in Europe before this so she might not be at 100%.

Re: Players with balanced forehand and backhand?

I haven't watched any of her highlights in a while though I'm fairly sure Alona Bondarenko was pretty balanced. Vondrousova from the ones I've watched recently.

You are right. I had the...

Re: Disappeared players.

It's Kvatsabaia. :p She got a horrible knee injury during her last match, she is still rehabing and plans to come back as far as I know.

Re: The 2017 Off-Court Photos Thread.

First time I open this thread in weeks and there's a discussion about Shapatava's family. :haha:

That girl is indeed her niece, Dea's daughter, who looks exactly like Sofia's childhood actually....

Re: Trnava, 100', F: Vondrousova d. Cepede Royg 75 76(3)

That would be really unfair IMO. Those points have gotten Chirico and Buyukakcay into the MD of 4 slams, including RG this year even though they are ranked #129 and #157 ATM. I can see it...

Re: Trnava, 100', F: Vondrousova d. Cepede Royg 75 76(3)

I am sorry but Zavatska also wasn't anything special until a few weeks ago when she won that 25k. She hasn't even broken the top 10 in juniors so to say she's been deprived of deserved opportunities...

Re: Who will win Nürnberg ?

Laura not playing doubles. She's gonna fall out of the top 100 in a few weeks.

Re: Trnava, 100', F: Vondrousova d. Cepede Royg 75 76(3)

Sorry but Yastremska's gotten 4 WCs into WTA tournaments in the last year and it's a stretch to say that she deserved them so she's hardly deprived of anything. Though it would be nice if the...

Someone just posted in her thread in German and according to google translate it seems that she's had a baby.

She's studying, travelling and has her own clothing line (https://www.facebook.com/BIBOFIT.PERU/). She also regularly posts videos playing tennis so I hope she can give it another shot one day. :)...

Re: The Difference Between Being Mentally Strong and Being a Fighter

Serena and Sharapova are clearly the greatest examples not only from active players, but maybe throughout history. Azarenka has always been a huge fighter, but she only became mentally strong in the...

Re: Strasbourg R1: (6) Stosur def. Duan 6-0 6-1

Dead at the bookies giving Stosur 1.50 odds for a straight sets win. I expected BFCD to win a couple more games though but I guess Shanksur didn't show up today.

Re: Saint-Gaudens 60k SF Ahn d. Aiava 7-5 6-4

Can't believe she had energy to even step on the court today after winning two long matches yesterday. :worship: With almost nothing to defend in the next 3 months, it's very likely that she'll be a...

Re: Disappeared players.

Pivovarova?
Feuerstein?

Did Zvonareva play in Istanbul just to keep her SR active? I kept thinking how weird it was that she showed up there but now I saw that it was just days before it would be...

Re: Madrid R2: Kuznetsova[8] d. Risks 2-6 7-6(9) 6-2

 I love her to death but she is just unbearable to watch on clay because I can see the chokes coming from a mile away, though at least this one time she didn't start spraying errors and DFs and...

Re: Madrid R2: Sevastova routines [2] Pliskova 63 63

And I can't imagine enjoying a player who is crying when up a set and a break. Did you really have to take a stab at my fave though? It's one thing if I had said I dislike Putintseva's attitude...

Re: Madrid R2: Sevastova routines [2] Pliskova 63 63

Sevastova has such a pretty game but her attitude is unbearable. :o I was hoping she'd get better with age but I guess that's not gonna happen.
