Re: What happened between Vika and Sumyk?

Exactly what I was thinking. Nothing stated, even on her twitter. All articles are just about Bouchard hiring him, not him and Vika parting ways. Quite odd.

Re: Bombshell: Polona Hercog engaged to Zeljko Krajan?

Dredged this old thread up.

Eleni appears to be engaged now as per her twitter, but kinda cryptic.

No idea who to. Any info?

Re: What happened between Vika and Sumyk?

I thought Vika played really well in Melbourne all things considered. Her hitting against Caro was outstanding. I've never seen her so confident at the net either.

I think he'll be a good fit for...

What happened between Vika and Sumyk?

Sorry if this has already been said but I couldn't find anything on it.

I just ready that Sam Sumyk is now coaching Bouchard.

I remember seeing he and Meilen in Vika's box during the Aus Open...

Re: Serena's Best Trophy Ceremony Speech Yet

It was a great speech. The part about Rod Laver Arena being her fvourite to play is nice and true.

I though Maria, however, had a nicer speech, especially since she had just lost.

But take...

Re: Albuquerque R1: Vaidisova def. Karatantcheva 6-3 6-4

Great job. I really hope I get to see her at the Aus Open.

My word her forehand has a huge takeback though.

What does 1!!1!!!1one mean?

Re: WTA players should be stripped of Retirement Ceremonies

Players retire with no intention of coming back.

Also if you want "time off" there are restrictions on the tour, you can't just not play for a year or two, there are rules. So retirement is the...

Re: Montréal 2nd Round: (Q)Rogers slays home favourite (5)Bouchard + crowd 6-0, 2-6,

I'm very happy about this.

And I hated Rogers after she beat Alize but now she has redeemed herself.

Re: Another example of the hypocrisy of equal prize money?

What's your rationale?

At the Grand Slams, and I'm only referring to the Grand Slams here, the women fill the stadium and make the same amount of money and the TV audience is as big thus garnering...

Re: Another example of the hypocrisy of equal prize money?

This is actually not correct. You are comparing that ATP tour to the WTA tour. They really have very little to do with the Grand Slams which are ITF. The men's and women's matches generate...

Re: Who do you prefer: Laura, Genie or Sloane? Re-Poll as of Post Wimby

I'm shocked that my answer to this was Sloane.

Re: Another example of the hypocrisy of equal prize money?

boggles my mind why you as a women's tennis fan (allegedly) would even bother to say this.

Plus it's so trite

blah blah blah it's nothing to do with the match length, it's payment for all the...

Re: Wimbledon Final 2014: (6)Kvitová slays marketing triumph (13)Bouchard 6-3, 6-0

The funny thing is, is how people have said Bouchard didn't play badly, but she couldn't win.

I think that's worse. That's the best she could do. It would be better if she was nervously spraying...

Re: Ash Barty : most exciting junior prospect???

Barty's problem is that she doesn't like tennis. She has said herself she is not a tennis fan and doesn't know any tennis history.

She is talented and I'm sure she enjoys actually playing the...

Re: WWW Wimbledon R3: Keys vs. Shvedova at 67 66 [Shvedova def. Keys 76 66 ret.]

Re: Wimbledon R2: A. Radwanska def. Casey Dellaqua 6-4, 6-0

I like her but Casey is so so sluggish

You can almost tell in the point where she just thinks, "meh I've had enough" then hits the ball out.
And on the run she is utterly hopeless. I've never...

Re: Hantuchova-Kerber, most horrible call ever?

I'm sorry but you are wrong. That rule applies if the ball is miss-hit as a result of a hindrance. In this case it was not. Tennis is fare and your result can not be dependent on an external factor...

Re: BOMBSHELL: Czink reportedly suing WTA for Birmingham incident

But the NHS did what they were supposed to do. They did not breach any duty of care.

Czink has a contract with the WTA as well as an implied duty of care. Hence they are responsible, also nothing...

Re: BOMBSHELL: Czink reportedly suing WTA for Birmingham incident

You sue the company or the corporation from who you can get the best result from.

For example if you order a pizza and it arrives at your door with a some spit on it, do you sue the pizza boy who...

Re: For equal pay, women must play best of five (article)

The question regarding pay shouldn't be about time spent on court. That's irrelevant. That's just how the game is played.

The pay is for all the work that is put in, the match itself is just a...
