Re: When will Serena retire?

[QUOTE=MrTrick;73565218]Oh, one of us is struggling with their comprehension, but it definitely is not me. :oh:

Notice that I placed "slowing down" in quotation marks. Meaning, she has not really...

Re: When will Serena retire?

"Is she eventually going to start slowing down? Of course she is; this is simple biology." This was your post, to which someone responded by stating "she's already slowing down". You then came back...

Re: When will Serena retire?

No one slows down due to aging issues at 22 years old. The aging process for athletes isn't linear, so a year older at 35 will be considerably different to being a year older in the mid-twenties. It...

Re: Michael Joyce: "Mouratoglou PAYS Serena to be her coach"

So she has a relationship with someone who was recently separated and has kids, ignoring the whole rebound relationship danger signs that should exist in anyone's mind. Then the relationship doesn't...

Re: Piotr: Caro didn´t plan a long career

Seriously, it's your baseless, preconceived notions of her father that is warping your judgement, and stating that anyone who doesn't agree with you is in denial proves how unsound your view is.

Re: Who is the better tennis coach?

Torben doesn't appear in articles giving his opinion on anything and everything, nor does he do press conferences making excuses for his player. He quietly goes about his business and lets the...

Re: When will Serena retire?

If she can mentally stay engaged, then it'll depend on how she copes physically. At her age, retirement decisions are usually made for you.

Re: Michael Joyce: "Mouratoglou PAYS Serena to be her coach"

I would have thought a brilliant coach, especially one with his own academy, would have had success with another player, or at least coached a young player on their road to the top.

Re: Madison Brengle retirement from her R1 match

Says the poster who repeats ad nauseum

Knock yourself out, to the point of unconsciousness and concussion preferably.

Re: Madison Brengle retirement from her R1 match

Give that good vein enough proding and it'll no longer be good, unfortunately.

No test does not equal a refused test, but it's still a no test. Is that so damned hard to understand? If it...

Re: USO R2: Bellis d. Rogers 2-6 6-2 6-2

She's worked hard at tennis for many years, but being a top tennis player might not appeal to her?

Re: Madison Brengle retirement from her R1 match

Hospitals sure can contain a variety of skills and experience. Some here require a doctor for a cannular insertion, nurses aren't allowed to perform the procedure, yet newly qualified doctors aren't...

Re: Madison Brengle retirement from her R1 match

If a sample can't be obtained, then it can't be a tested, which is a requirement to compete. She isn't going to get an exemption from testing, so it's quite a problem for her.

In my experience,...

Re: Madison Brengle retirement from her R1 match

I'm not sure what vein condition she has, but it may be difficult to find a vein that'll produce blood. If the tester has failed after a couple of attempts elsewhere, maybe her right arm was a last...

Re: Pliskova saves Serena's #1 and win biggest title 6-3 6-1 with [2] Kerber

Many didn't see it in Kerber either, that's what matters. Predicting the future is guessing, not actual thinking. If you think this was a fluke, you're wrong already.

Re: Pliskova saves Serena's #1 and win biggest title 6-3 6-1 with [2] Kerber

How many had Kerber won at 23 years old? TF wisdom was she'd never win anything at that point, 'cause players just don't improve after that, so the TF story goes.

Re: Sofia Shapatava Responds Via Twitter #231 #Scrubgate

Yet anyone on TF is, apparently. No matter what level a player is or was, their experience and opinion counts for nothing unless TF agrees with them, which rarely happens.
