Re: Why do tennis players get sick so much?

I don't feel like the things you mentioned are that common at all.

Mononucleosis is quite common all over the world. I would assume that possibly the rate of detection is higher in...

Re: Disappeared players.

Anna Smith's success reminded me that Jocelyn Rae has disappeared after winning her biggest title in 100k Vancouver.

Re: Race to Singapore ~ Doubles

Both of them will keep playing in singles, including the one who cited the "lower back injury". Just disgusting.

I feel bad for Shuko, don't think she will ever get this close again,...

Re: Moscow R2: Tsurenko d. Vandeweghe 7-5 1-6 6-2

This could literally be the first time I've brought her up. :weirdo: It's always someone else (probably including you) bringing up 'the player in my avatar' when I'm criticizing some other player....

Re: Moscow R2: Tsurenko d. Vandeweghe 7-5 1-6 6-2

Lesya :inlove:

I just love the double standards on this forum. The board will go crazy the second Siegemund will ask for an MTO whenever she comes back, meanwhile not a single comment in...

Re: Sorana 'I call her KID' Cirstea and the "Donkey" drama about Jelena Ostapenko

Caling her Penko makes absolutely no sense, since -enko is a standard Ukrainian last name ending. I can see why she would dislike it. In Georgia we have two main affixes (-dze and -shvili)...

Re: Cairns 25k Rogowska d. Tere-Apisha 1-6 6-2 6-2

The best performer in 4 ITF tournaments was always gonna get a QWC eventually anyway. Rogowska will most likely get in on her own ranking too.

Re: Race to Singapore ~ Doubles

Bertens/Larsson couldn't have possible gotten an easier draw to the semis. A few decent unseeded teams in the draw but they get Lepchenko/Stollar + winner of Cepede/Haddad Maia vs. Cadantu/Thombare...

Re: Interesting odds on the Gavrilova vs Brady SF match (Hong Kong)

My God, could you be any more ignorant about tennis? Just give up and go troll on another forum.

Re: Linz R1: Buzarnescu d. Kontaveit 7-6 6-3

I think you should cut Zidansek some slack, I'm sure she would've played the big clay events during the summer but she's been injured for two summers in a row. :o She was already showing some...

Re: Linz R1: Buzarnescu d. Kontaveit 7-6 6-3

Thanks. :yeah:

I've always found it interesting how there are certain players who try to step up to WTA qualies the moment their rankings allow it (Martincova, Tomova, Kostova come to mind),...

Re: Linz R1: Buzarnescu d. Kontaveit 7-6 6-3

First WTA MD win and on her first try if I'm not mistaken. :)

To be honest I'm kind of disappointed by her attitude on court, there is hardly any joy or positive emotion coming from her, even...

Re: Disappeared players.

Karamanoleva played last week in Sozopol for sure and maybe in other Bulgarian ITFs too.

Botusharova and Zlateva are playing college in US.

The others probably retired, not everybody...

Re: Linz R1: Bencic def. Flipkens 4-6 6-2 7-6(7) - 1 MP SAVED

Flipkens is either the dumbest player on tour or her ego is one of the biggest, because late in a third set against an out of shape Bencic (and almost anyone else on tour) she can win the match by...

Pretty sure she's talking about Mayo Hibi. :p Also, it is clearly a joke.

Re: Puig teams up with Sharapova for hurricane relief

It clearly meant a lot to Maria when Puig and entire Puerto Rico greeted her with a warm welcome when she was at an all-time low point. Now she's paying them back with such a generous gesture. :yeah:...

Re: Beijing R1: Duan def. Mladenovic 75 64

Not that her huge ego would let her take the rest of the season off, but it wouldn't be the first time if she suddenly found some good form after a slump and she's #9 in the race so it would mean...

Re: Templeton 60k R1 Whittle d. Abanda 6-2 6-3

Abanda's always had trouble motivating herself in ITFs, hardly surprising that she would give no fucks now that she is almost top 100. She lost 64 60 in ITF qualies to Dzalamidze the week...

Re: Greenbrier Tennis Classic Martina Hingis def. Venus Williams 6-4, 2-6, 10-7

Hardly surprised by this result. I think it's commonly agreed upon on this forum that Martina has the skills to challenge anyone in singles but it is her body that would falter if she played...
