Re: US OPEN R1: Monica Niculescu d. [14] Kristina Mladenovic 6-3 6-2

Kristina has been so unbearable lately that it is hard to sympathize. Hope she will meditate on this. As good as her clay season has been, the flaws in her game are still there. No wonder why a...

Yes, she has always been this big-mouthed attention seeker. She has probably made bad comments on every player of top 100. One day, her unfriendly attitude will come back to her.
On the other hand...

Re: RG R4: Ostapenko COVFEFES Stosur 26 62 64

So nice shots from Ostapenko, even though, from what I've seen, Stosur wasn't really making it challenging. Standing so far away from the baseline, she uselessly let herself being surprised by...

Re: Roland Garros R4: (13) Kristina Mladenovic def. (4) Garbiñe Muguruza 6-1 3-6 6-3

I so agree with you! Muguruza just let the crowd intimidate her from the very first point which something you wouldn't expect from a defending champ'?!
I feel like an old grandma' but I really miss...

Re: Roland Garros R4: (13) Kristina Mladenovic def. (4) Garbiñe Muguruza 6-1 3-6 6-3

That match wasn't really pretty. Kiki did well to use the crowd to mask her own liabilities but you have to admit that Muguruza wasn't really there herself from the very beginning. You can hardly...

It is always so funny to see Mladenovic blaming others for her losses. When they were defeated in the first round of Olympics, she was quick to accuse FFT of incompetence and dragged Caro into that...

Re: Maiden WTA title for Dodin as she defeats Davis 64 63

She has improved so much! She is no longer that crazy hard hitter, now she can construct points, volley and rally. 19 yo old only, a WTA title and a deserved spot in the top 100. Well done, Océane!...

Re: The crowd in RG SF?

Well that's the result of:
- awful weather conditions
- strikes that affect trains
- lack of big names playing
- bad reputation on the tournament after all the withdrawals and poor...

Re: Fed Cup World Group QF: Mladenovic(FRA) def. Errani(ITA) 6-4 6-3 ITA 2-1

Well played Kiki! Wish she could have this attitude more often in her matches.
Errani's serve was worse than ever. She basically hits two 2nd serves :tape:

Re: Australian Open R2: Garcia def. Voegele 6-3 6-4

Yeah, if we take apart that unnecessary choke in the 2nd set, that was a superb performance from Caroline. Heavy balls and effective serving!

That tie-break. :tape: Nothing changes in the world, Hradecka is still a choker!

Re: Disappeared players.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Aravane joining the list... She hasn't committed to any tournament and is still terribly unfit. I question her motivation, really.

Re: AO R4: Radwanska def. Ivanovic 62 64

Ana's game would have been pretty good enough to win the match, but her retrieving skills clearly hampered her. Can't she just put the ball in play?!

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol26

 at Aga being pissed off as she lost the point, whereas all she did was to slice the ball back in the middle of the court

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol26

Yep, it looks like Sloane is in a too good shape for Kristina in these extreme conditions.

Re: AO R1: K. Mladenovic def. T. Babos 6-3 4-6 11-9

Great start, Kristina :yeah:
Cudos to Timea who must feel very disappointed not to win this one and break her losing streak. She had brilliant service stats today.

Re: AO R1: Yulia Putintseva upends Christina McHale, 61 67(0) 62

Yulia is fun! She's really in her own world, she looked so genuinely happy waving to the crowd!!
She's not only an interesting player to watch but a very hard-worker. It's good for the game to see...

Re: Hobart R2: Niculescu d. Peng 36 64 64

Yeah, fan of Monica or not, you got to acknowledge that her FH slice is really poor for a crafty player's standards.

Re: The FLUKEST FLUKE [2012]

Stosur still getting 140 points as a YEC alternate despite a horrible showing.

Re: Kremlin 1/2 final: Stosur d. Ivanovic who was on one leg 2-6 6-3 6-2

Agreed. I don't follow Ana's career from that close but it seems to me that every time she faces a top player after a pretty decent tournament, she gets injured. Too big of a coincidence.
