Re: Chaky def Rena 6-4 ret.

Get well, Rena! Take care of that knee.

Amazing enough, she still got $100,000 for her one-set effort. Quite a job, if you can get it!

Why are Venus and Serena more respected than Justine?

It seems so... at least to me (never mind Aaron)!

What does everyone think?

Personally, I respect them all.

They all have had ups and downs in their careers. So please tell me, why are...

Re: Justine Henin- Becoming "The greatest of them all"?

Alright, Justine is doing outstandingly well at the moment. Her work ethics is something to behold. I can sense this situation doesn't seat well with Serena who will finally realise what she has to...

Re: Can Venus & Serena both win respective titles this week?

Yup! And Serena was so upset about her last loss to Justine that this time, if they both get to the final, Rena will either win or die trying. My good sense is telling me it won't be the latter.

Re: Are You Going To Watch The USO Women's Final?

Hey guys, I'm also watching!... But I'm chewing some paper as well, and I'm not sure which one is better. :o

Re: If Venus beats Henin....

I'm still holding my breath regarding Henin. To save my heart, I think I might just tape the match and watch it afterwards if Vee wins.

Re: What Does Venus have to do......

- Don't get behind from get-go, i. e., start the fight from the very first ball and treat the first game as if it were the last one of the match. So doing, tell JH the table has changed.
- The...

Re: (12) V.Williams Def. (3) J. Jankovic 4-6,6-1,7-6(7-4)

But Justine also has more winners.

Anyway, well done, Vee, and good luck on your next match!

Jelena was such a pal tonight! She lost the match but won several hearts.

Re: Is Serena pregnant? (this is a serious thread)

Forget it, folks. Serena is not pregnant; she's just big. And I think (as many of you) she does have a problem of some kind, either physical or emotional or both. Maybe two boyfriends are fighting...

Re: Justine brushes aside Serena 7-6 6-1

Serena lost today because of two things:
- lack of movement including footwork and positioning
- lack of responsiveness at the net
We know she used to be good in those two areas; she amply...

Re: Is Serena pregnant? (this is a serious thread)

Right now, I see Federer quite sluggish against Lopez (3-5 in the first). J. Mac keeps talking about it non-stop. Maybe, and I insist maybe  , Federer could be a little bit pregnant too....

Re: Do you think that Alona Bondarenko resembles Anna Kournikova?

Ahhhh! TV can really fool people. She's actually smaller than Anna. I saw them both in Toronto, a couple of weeks ago. And I did see a resemblance then; not facial, but in just about everything else,...

Re: TSN coverage

Rogers 490 (also 401 as Hablo indicated) has been showing US Open all evening. We had a bit of Tim Henman, then Venus and now Nadal. I can't complain. I didn't come back to this thread; je pensais...

Re: Venus lays the smackdown on Alona Bondarenko 6-1 6-2

I happen to think Bondarenko played very well. She was forceful and accurate during rallies, turned defensive gets into offensive shots consistently, and even broke Venus. Her only problem tonight...

Hey, you people, what are you talking about!? Canada is great. Honestly, I don't see why any player would bypass this tourney. First of all, they get to see me in my environment . Or is it the...

Re: Venus: "I thought I had a great chance not to lose a match this summer"

I hope this comment by Venus doesn't mean what it says. All she needs is some rest, both for the body and the mind.

Yet, being selfish :o, I still want to see her in Toronto. Hey, don't blame me,...

Re: S.I. Article on Venus at age 10

Yup! Thank God, tennis, just as other sports, is an open book whose pages can't be tarnished or swept aside on the ill will of a few.
