Re: How does your country deal with the legacy of true champions?

It's also sad how injuries hindered both players in 2004 (especially Clijsters).. there isn't much doubt in my mind that they would have played more slam finals in 2004 had they not been sidelined.

Re: How does your country deal with the legacy of true champions?

I've always wondered how Belgians reacted when Clijsters and Henin played that first French Open SF back in 2001. Was a tremendous moment for Belgian tennis. Followed by the first all-Belgian final...

Re: PEAK v PEAK: Martina Hingis vs. Kim Clijsters

Right!? Ironically, arguably the WTAs most liked player of this twenty-first century is one of the least liked on TF, largely for ridiculous, unfounded reasons, go figure. I think that is probably...

Re: Best Player of the 2000s

Right!?!? Hahah I can hardly believe what I'm reading. What's annoying is that people who are actually making sensibly-driven, rational arguments here hardly ever get responses while fanboys just...

Re: Best Player of the 2000s

Some of the lists here. I understand emphasis on grand slam titless, but seriously. I think a number of factors should be taken into consideration, not simply grand slam tally. To be ranked among...

Re: Best asset in Women's Tennis History?

It's so tough. So many strong assets amongst the top players. I maintain that Kim Clijsters movement/defense in her first career was phenomenal. I don't think we'll ever see movement like that...

Re: 'Least Disliked' Top 10 Player?

It's not really possible to consider slam winners with non-slam winners, as they receive a great deal more attention and are more widely known.
Least disliked of slam winners: Kim Clijsters, because...

Re: Players who won big titles without coach?

Re: Paris Draws and Results [2013]

Congrats Alina and Elise. Funnily enough.. Ziyi also won Paris after winning the AO. Definitely seeing some freakish parallels. Brace yourself, cause after winning Paris Ziyi had a title drought...
