Re: Is women's tennis still a "mainstream" sport?

I'd say tennis is kind of unusual in that it is watched almost everywhere in the world and there are lot of people with a surface tennis knowledge but has a relatively small hardcore fanbase in most...

Re: WTA: Women ready for five-set matches in Grand Slams

for selfish reasons I'd kind of like things to stay as they are, one of the reasons I follow women's tennis more closely than men's is that best of 5 early slam matches are booooring and I've...

Re: Murray hires Mauresmo

I hope this works out. She always comes across like a calm and perceptive person.
Don't think this was the reason for appointing her but hopefully she can bring out the best in his attacking game...

Wimbledon: Some of the pomposity irritates me but grasscourt tennis is great.
Rolly G: Don't especially like claycourt tennis but it's right in the middle of the tennis season and at the beginning...

Re: Is Halep a future Slam winner?

I don't see why not. She is capable of playing more aggressively than she did today. Has a good game on all surfaces too.

Re: WWW ? Roland Garros F : [7] Sharapova - [4] Halep

Either Maria or 3 or Simona in 2.
Last two young breakthrough slam winners, Vika and Petra, both beat Maria in straight sets in their first final. Hoping for the same outcome here.

Re: Does it mean Sara is better than JJ

From what I've gathered JJ is better at going toe to toe with the very top players, because she can withstand their big groundstrokes and redirect them back. Errani has the better finesse game and is...

Re: Why is Suarez Navarro such a pest?

Easily the most appealing finalist from that half of the draw, really hope she makes the final.

Re: Is this humiliating for the WTA?

There are people out there that will find a way to twist anything to make the WTA look bad, but I think this is exciting. Would have been nice for Serena and Na not to go out quite so meekly though.

Re: British media: Amelie Mauresmo maybe to coach Andy Murray

Re: The YEC is going to be known as the "WTA Finals" from now on

good. next they should change 'Road to Singapore' to 'Race to Singapore'. Sofia can be scrapped so there's no confusion there.
