Re: Hawaii 125K: Bellis d. Cako 6-0 6-4

:spit: Oh yeah I suppose a 17 year old who just cracked the top100 should stay away from 125Ks played in her home country and just focus on the majors.

Re: Hawaii 125K: Bellis d. Cako 6-0 6-4

Wow, with a win Cici would be #75

Re: Random Match-Ups II: Anastasia Myskina vs. Agnieszka Radwanska

I agree here. And Aga's career has been much much longer, and she's only 27 and ranked #3.

Re: Why is the new generation not producing?

It is a bit odd to think we've gone 10 years without teenage slam champ with Pova at USO in 2006 I believe. It's a combination of things. The age rules, the physicality, the mentality and...

Re: Not Going Anywhere: Venus Williams hopes to play Olympics in 2020

That's quite a goal. I hope she makes it. There are a lot of good young American women both in singles an doubles.

Re: Random Match-Ups II: Anastasia Myskina vs. Agnieszka Radwanska

I think if they ever had a rivalry or their careers overlapped, Aga would have gotten the better of Myskina. She wouldn't always beat her, but she'd have the edge.

Re: A fifth Grand Slam in China?

I don't understand why The YEC isn't always indoors and why everyone has gotten rid of carpet or fast indoor hard courts. YEC could always be in China is it fit that criteria and it was sustainable.

Re: A fifth Grand Slam in China?

Please no. We have a hard enough time keeping the players healthy and motivated enough to sustain the current calendar.

Tennis has gotten too grueling, and players don't need to play well week...

Re: Fissette: Clijsters tanked YEC dead rubber to avoid Wozniacki

I'd be pissed if I were Kim. What a ridiculous thing to say. And to what, avoid Wozniacki?

Re: How many majors will Serena win in 2017?

I guessed 1, and I don't even know which I'd put my money on. Wimbledon looks the best bet obviously, but nothing would really surprise me except maybe another RG title or winning all 4. 0 Would be a...

Re: Will WTA give Muguruza a WC in Singapore if she falls to #9 ?

I think the ATP does auto entry for major winners, and I think it's well known in WTA that they reserve the right for 1 WC for a major winner, they've just never (or never needed to) use that option....

Re: Beijing R2: (1) Angie Kerber def. Barbora Strycova 6-3 7-6(4)

I was thinking exactly this.

What does she have to do to clinch YE #1?

Re: Sharapova Ban Thread [3] - Banned until 4/25/17

Was she not tested at the AO? She made the 3rd round.

Re: Sharapova Ban Thread [3] - Banned until 4/25/17

You're clearly wishing her every ill will possible, which is reminiscent to Gunther Parche. Speaking of careless reading, where has she or anyone else (besides morons on here) ever said she's been on...

Re: Sharapova Ban Thread [3] - Banned until 4/25/17

It's so easy to poke holes in everything you say because you're stretching yourself so unbelievably thin. She only ever took Meldonium a few times a year, unless you think 2015 (where she played a...

Re: how many slams will sharapova win when she returns 2017?

That's true of just about anyone to ever play the game. But a player like Davenport had a lot of success past her physical peak, and Sharapova is twice the athlete she is.

I think she has a few...

Re: Beijing R3: Petra Kvitova destroys Garbine Muguruza 6-1 6-4

Losing to a motivated Petra on a good day isn't so shameful, but Garbine really needs to right the ship. Hasn't she been successful during this part of the season before? She can't really rely on the...

Re: Sharapova Ban Thread [3] - Banned until 4/25/17

Not to mention all the support she's gained from sponsors, commentators, tournament directors, other players, and all-time greats. Her appeal to CAS was definitely worth the time, effort, and energy....

Re: Will Serena be YE #1 2016?

Maybe the 375 pts is to counteract the number of points that can be gained at Zhuhai, which is another weird WTA quirk.

Re: Serena: I wouldn´t put my own children in tennis

Maybe she'll let them try out a bunch of sports to be active and healthy and see if they are really into one. She's saying she won't be the one to push.

Re: Serena: I wouldn´t put my own children in tennis

I agree with her here. Even if they had a good career, they'd never step out of her shadow. In any other industry, people would say "Oh your mom's Serena Williams?!?! That's amazing." ...and then get...

Re: Mouratoglou: 30 slams is the goal not 23!

Well hey, she has a better chance at 30 than some players have a chance at 1. He really should stop talking though.

Re: Guangzhou SF: Jankovic (2) def. Konjuh (3) 7-5 7-6 (7)

:hearts: Glad JJ could get this win. Go for the title, boo.
