Thumbs up Re: Amanda Coetzer

So do I (ok DUH, given my forum name). But it's so cool to know she's doing so well after her tennis career. And thanks to those that posted her pic at the Australian final. I pvr'd it, and it was...

Re: What were Radwanska comments on Wickmayer suspension ?

Wackjob wickmayer behaves like a 'roider.

How many players have defaulted a challenger final by slamming a ball into a lines women's face - ONE (wackjob).

I know, she claims she didn't do it...

Re: Always wondered if Justine was popular?

If you have to ask how it's cheating when the umpire asks you if you raised your hand to request time out, and you deny it, then maybe you weren't raised to understand the difference between cheating...

Re: Always wondered if Justine was popular?

Wow, really? You seem to be capable of accessing the Internet, and you are interested in tennis, and you haven't seen any video's of Henin cheating at the 2003 French open.

Look, google is your...

Re: Always wondered if Justine was popular?

I love one-handed backhands, but Henin will always be the girl that raised her hand and lied in front of 20 thousand live fans, and millions of fans watching on TV.

To my recollection, she never...

Re: AO Q2 : Yanina Wickmayer destroys Naomi Cavaday 6-0, 6-1

No one is saying she slammed a ball into a women's face on purpose. That is not the point. The point is that Wickmayer screwed up, injured a person and rather than apologize, made a lame excuse.

Thumbs down Re: AO Q2 : Yanina Wickmayer destroys Naomi Cavaday 6-0, 6-1

A joy to watch? She's a psychopath - sent a 60 year old lines-judge to the hospital by smashing a ball into her face. Her comment "anyone that knows me knows I didn't do it on purpose" just shows...

Re: WADA to appeal for harsher penalties against Wickmayer & Malisse

Wickmayer is a public figure - a girl that made over 650 thousand US dollars last year.
A girl that single-handledly destroyed a local tournament and expressed no regret (except to say she didn't...

Re: WADA to appeal for harsher penalties against Wickmayer & Malisse

I was there, and a doubt you were. I also see that you are a big fan of Henin's "hand and deny" routine. I would suggest that you change your online name to POS, but I wouldn't want to offend the...

Re: WADA to appeal for harsher penalties against Wickmayer & Malisse

Wickmayer singlehandedly destroyed my local tournament last year by behaving like a "''roid-head" and smashing a tennis ball at a lines-woman's face. Wickmayer's reaction? Something to the effect...

Re: A call for everyone who was at the Clearwater-final to react in here

OK, OK, along those lines, I've read that Wickmayer was the model of behavior, with never an on court complaint.... until.... she signed her designer bra and pantie endorsement.

About halfway...

Wow, ya really have to question some of the information people post here. You say she didn't hit her, but in this article she apologies for hitting her.

Careful there "spencercarlos". Look at the youtube I posted below. Though the commentator said JJ didn't hit Davenport with her slow hit, hearing the crowd reaction, and reading articles like:

Re: A call for everyone who was at the Clearwater-final to react in here

Yeah, that's exactly what you said:

"She hit the lineswoman by accident, got defaulted because it is written in the rules. It is really strict IMO and this rule isn't always followed as mentioned...

Read:

and you'll see that the Edburg incident happened during matchplay, not between points. Although...

Re: A call for everyone who was at the Clearwater-final to react in here

You are referring to the incident about 30 seconds into this clip?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5aSmvyPdxM

In fact, at 1:34 into the clip the announcer states that the ball nearly hit...

Re: A call for everyone who was at the Clearwater-final to react in here

The time I saw her play that week, she was so emotional that I wouldn't trust her to be able to give an accurate report of her disqualification. Just look at the discrepancies we read on these...

Re: Clearwater (50K), F: Coin def. Wickmayer 3:6, 1:1 defaulted

Given the conflicting interpretations, I decided to call the listed supervisor to get a first hand account. Unfortunately, it was a bad cell phone connection, so I didn't press for exact details. But...

Re: Clearwater (50K), F: Coin def. Wickmayer 3:6, 1:1 defaulted

Thanks for giving a first person account. I had seen Wickmeyer during the week, and her behavior was laughable (but not dangerous).

Given the details of the disqualification - who could possibly...
