I honestly don't think the crowd means anything when they cheer first serve faults..they're just scraping and clawing at anything...

The Olympics are once every four years that's an entirely different setting. The WTA tour is like the NHL, NBA, MLB, etc. A year round sport with an off season..not a once every 4 year massive event....
