Re: Zhengzhou Preliminary Match: Akita re-accommodates Fett, 26 75 61.

I've never seen this before. Why weren't they just in the qualifying draw?

Re: Indian Harbour QF: Duval EMBARRASSES (1) Eugenie 'former top 5' Bouchard: 6-0, 6-

That was glorious.

Dream SF vs Anisimova. If there is any justice, one of these ladies will take the French Open WC!

Re: Indian Harbour Beach $80K R2: Anisimova d. Mestach 4-6 6-2 6-3

She is 15, the highest ranked player for her age, and these are top 250 players, so I'm not sure what the expectation is here.. She is still getting experience at this level, but to grind out tough...

Re: Indian Harbour Beach $80K R2: Anisimova d. Mestach 4-6 6-2 6-3

Very winnable match next against Zaja or Zarazua. Keep it going Amanda!

She has entered Dothan and Charlottesville too. She wants that French Open WC!

Re: Monterrey QFR: Kristie Ahn d. (7) Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-2 7-5

Kristie's development as a pro took a little longer, because she spent four years at Stanford, but now she's top 200 AND she has a degree from one of the best colleges in the world. I'd say she's in...

Re: Monterrey R1 Ahn d. Cepelova 6-4 6-2

Awesome week so far for Kristie! She is locking up that FO/Wimbledon qualifying spot with results like this.

Now just don't forget to sign up for Wimbledon qualies again this year...

Re: Charleston R1: Beaty Stollar d. Mohammad 63 75

She did here and in Brisbane? Qualifying in 2/5 attempts so far this year, when WTA-level singles is relatively new to her is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Re: Monterrey QFR: Kristie Ahn d. (7) Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-2 7-5

No, it's just objectively true that she has not played in many WTA main draws in her career so far.

Awesome win, Kristie! Keep it going and assure that spot in FO/Wimbledon qualies!

Re: IW R4: Kiki Mladenovic [28] def. Lauren Davis 6-3, 6-3

Isn't Venus playing the winner of Kerber/Vesnina?

Re: IW R4 Vee Williams survives Peng 3-6 6-1 6-3

I meant after in the set. It's not like she fell apart after the correction, because she proceeded to hold and break a few games later. She really lost when Vee stopped missing for the last four...

Re: IW R4 Vee Williams survives Peng 3-6 6-1 6-3

How? She went up a break after this.

Incredible effort by Venus and so thrilled with every win here, beating three players in a row who had won their last matches against her.

Keep it going!!

Re: IW R3: Williams def Safarova 6-4 6-2

She was so consistent off the ground today! When was the last time that Venus had less than 10 UE outside of Wimbledon?

The serve was slow for 80% of the match, but she got it cranking in the end....

Re: 100K Midland QF: (Q)Katherine Sebov def. (2)Varvara Lepchenko 3-6 6-4 7-6(5)

Looking at Katherine's results over the past six months or so, you could tell that she was playing well and primed for a breakthrough one of these tournaments. She really has not had many bad losses...

Re: 25K Wesley Chapel Final: (Q)Anhelina Kalinina d. Elizaveta Ianchuk, 4 & 4

Would love to see her get into AO qualifying on her own ranking, which, at this rate, seems like a very realistic goal. She has always loved the green clay American ITFs!

Re: AO Final Serena Williams def Venus Williams 6-4 6-4

Most of what I wanted to say has been said many times over here, but when it comes down to it, I just feel so lucky that it is 2017, and we are still watching these two living legends at the top of...

Re: AO R3: Hozumi/Kato df. Mirza/Strycova 6-3 2-6 6-2

Hilarious that Barbora would dare be annoyed by someone else's expressiveness

Go Eri and Miyu!!

Re: AO:3R: GS Debutante (Q) Jennifer Brady def (14) Elena Vesnina: 7/6(4) 6/2

Why is everyone here calling Brady an ITF scrub? She played two years of college tennis and has risen the ranks steadily since. She has a big game and a great attitude. I'm thrilled with this result...

Re: AO R2: Lucic-Baroni dumps Radwanska quickly out of AO 63 62

Very well said. When it's all done and dusted, I'm just glad that Mirjana is going to be able to end her tennis career on HER terms. Her comeback has been more than worthwhile in every sense of the...

Re: AO:1R: Nicole Gibbs upsets (25) Timea Babos: 7/6(3) 6/4

I was actually extremely impressed with Nicole's play today. She was generating some of her own pace and keeping the ball really deep. Great to see her defend her points here and hope she keeps it...

Re: AO R1: Boserup dumps Schiavone out of her last AO 62 64

Re: AO QR1: Jennifer Elie def. Catalina Pella 6-1 7-5

So so excited for Jen! Whatever happens next, the trip has been a success and this win has paid for it. I am just over the moon for this kind, humble, hard working woman. Let's make 2017 the best...
