Re: Wimbledon R1: [Q] BFCD Duan def. [12] Eugenie Bouchard 7-6(3) 6-4

Only saw the last game and Duan looked so good! Totally confident, hitting those deep heavy groundstrokes with conviction, solid first serves!

Bye Bouchard :wavey:

Re: Birmingham R2 (Q) Michelle Larcher De Brito SHOCKs (2) Ana Ivanovic 6-4 3-6 7-6(6

I didn't, actually. Having followed Ana since 2007, she has actually never lost a match on a DF before.

Re: WTA officially announces 2016 calendar

Also, while I think Nanchang is almost bound to be a flop / vulture-fest, we really need to be less judgmental of all these Chinese tournaments. Attendance for Wuhan was great last year despite Li Na...

Re: WTA officially announces 2016 calendar

You'd be surprised how many people there were in Hong Kong watching Grace Min play Julia Glushko. The average Hong Konger would probably only know Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Sharapova, Serena and...

Re: What do you think of Martina N.'s reaction to Serena thanking GOD?

Actually, whenever the Bible mentions the Pharisees, I can only think of all the religious organizations in the world and exactly the same shit they come up with.

Re: What do you think of Martina N.'s reaction to Serena thanking GOD?

True  Actually I'm interested in whether Serena is allowed blood products given that she's a Jehovah's witness.

Re: How many times has a player defeated 4 top 10 players in a GS (in the Open Era)?

Sorry, had to.

It was actually Jankovic (4) and Ivanovic (3). Ana had just taken the no. 3 ranking after making Sydney semis while JJ lost to Vaidisova :oh:

Re: Prediction: Lucie Safarova will end the year as Czech #1

I actually thought she was a hands down favourite to win Wimbledon that year, which she did.

Re: Prediction: Lucie Safarova will end the year as Czech #1

PK beat World No. 1 Safina in USO 2009. She made the semifinals of Wimbledon 2010. If that's not a breakthrough, I don't know what is.

Re: French Open SF: (13) Safarova reaches first Slam final, def. (7) Ivanovic 7-5 7-5

Not a high quality match, lots of drama and lots of choking. Neither player playing well, but Lucie was much better when it mattered most.

Ana didn't lose the first set from 5-2, it was gone when...

Re: 2015 RG QF: Back in Black Ana Ivanovic d Svitolina 6-3 6-2

Ana :yippee: This match was NID from the second game. Svitolina has nothing to hurt her with and it's only because of Ana's errors that she got so many games. Svitolina gives her the same slow-paced...

Thoughts on either Ivanovic, Muguruza, Svitolina or Safarova in Final

Not her fault that JJ made a thunderous R1 exit this time

Re: Roland Garros 4R: (23) Timea Bacsinszky def. (4) Petra Kvitova 2-6 6-0 6-3

Shitra in the 2nd and 3rd sets was just :hysteric: to behold. Timea made loose errors in the third and seemed nervous but Petra just couldn't string points together at all.

Re: Rg R4: Ivanović VIPs Makarova 7:5, 3:6 6:1
