Re: Nottingham R1 - Black/Raymond d. Gajdosova/Tomljanovic 62 76(2)

Really solid performance considering Lisa hasn't played a match since early May and Cara hasn't played a match since January. Great volleying from both, particularly Cara who dug out some very tough...

Re: Miami SF: Raymond/Robson d. The No. 1 team (SE/Roby) 6-1, 6-2.

Lisa stated in a blog that Shvedova was the one that pulled out on her I thought.

Re: Lisa Raymond plays doubles with Lisicki in Tokyo

I don't think her and Liezel have officially broken up. Liezel has been injured since the clay court season, and with the hectic overload over the Spring/Summer of the French, Wimbledon, and the...

Re: Roland Garros R1: Venus Williams d. Paula Ormachea 4-6, 6-1, 6-3

Vee :yeah: That forehand was a thing of beauty in the latter stages of the match :inlove:

Paula reminds me of Shvedova with her stroke production.

She'll definitely be more prepared for...

Re: Rome Rnd 3: Venus Williams d. Sam Stosur 6-4 6-3

She's showing gradual improvement in all aspects of her game since her first match back till now. She attacked the mess out of the Stosur backhand, and was hitting with some great spin.

I'm kind...

Re: Miami R3: [WC] V. Williams d. [WC] A. Wozniak 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 [5] — Saving 1 MP

It's not his fault he's mad. It obviously comes from a lack of a formal education.

Re: Miami R3: [WC] V. Williams d. [WC] A. Wozniak 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 [5] — Saving 1 MP

Martina speaks highly of Venus these days, why can't you move on like she has? With as many net cords that went Alek's way, she had a right to celebrate the ONE she got.

What's disgusting is how...

Re: Miami R3: [WC] V. Williams d. [WC] A. Wozniak 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 [5] — Saving 1 MP

The fact is that she is PLAYING again. Winning is a bonus. It's a DAY TO DAY thing meaning, SOMEDAYS she may feel extremely fatigued, and then can wake up fine the next. NOBODY knows what to expect...

Re: WWW Dubai Final:Huber/Raymond vs Mirza/Vesnina

^^ Right. She hasn't behaved the best on and off court, like many other players , but she's acknowledged those mistakes and moved on.

Re: WWW Dubai Final:Huber/Raymond vs Mirza/Vesnina

It's boring because who wants to read a thread where Liezel gets bashed repeatedly instead of congratulated. What's the point of creating it?

Re: Peschke/Srebotnik edge Huber/Raymond 61 46 13-11

I remember an interview she gave after they split, and I did feel something, but it seemed as though she felt more remorseful that it didn't work out. I think they just had diffrent goals and wanted...

Re: Hobart 2RQ: Aleks Wozniak wins Canadian derby. Beats Marino 5:7 6:4 7:6(9)

Aleks :sobbing:

Aleks and Rebecca are gonna create a nice buzz for Canadian tennis fans. Maybe not as spicy as an Ivanovic/Jankovic type, but still they seem to have pretty nice matches.

Re: Hobart QR1: Aleksandra Wozniak (CAN) def Mariya Koryttseva 6-4 2-6 7-6(4)

She tweeted that she is still struggling with her Bronchitis, and really effecting her overall play. Maybe she should just rest up for the Aussie.

Re: Gajdosova/Mattek Sands to be regular partners this year

She played with Meg from the Aussie through Wimbledon. They got to the third round of the USO and lost to Huber/Raymond in a pretty decent match.

Re: Would Dementieva have beaten Venus in the Wimbledon 09 final?

Venus was in much better form throughout that tournament until the final IMO. She played miles better than she did in her title runs in 07' & 08'. I just watched the Serena/Dementieva highlights last...

Re: Best Quality Match of 2011? Most Dramatic Match of 2011?

^^ I agree.

I really enjoyed the second set of the IW final between Bartoli-Wozniacki. Both players were using all areas of the court and Marion was coming up with some very creative ways to win...

Re: Venus Williams: I'm planning to going back to top of the rankings.

Well Serena was "too fat" to win in 07' since so many seemed to treat her weight like a disease. Vee getting through her Wimbledon semi and final in 03' with a torn abdominal muscle which is pretty...

Re: Venus Williams: I'm planning to going back to top of the rankings.

So when she wins big, she'll have made this whole thing up just to prepare herslef for her cross over into daytime television soaps and win her first Emmy.

Williams Sisters re-write...

Re: Venus Williams: I'm planning to going back to top of the rankings.

She did have the hip injury let us not forget. We've known there's no treatment but now that she has been DIAGNOSED and given the proper medication, she can manage it better and have an idea of her...

Re: Venus Williams: I'm planning to going back to top of the rankings.

She played a full schedule for the first half of 2010 through Wimbledon. She got back to #2 in that time frame. Without treatment.

The sky is the limit at this point.
