Re: Would another Renee Richards story be accepted

I agree. People should compete with their own sex. A male can never become female however he "identifies". Of course sport will always be unfair in so far as some people are naturally stronger,...

Re: Would you ever refuse to play someone after so many defeats?

That's an interesting opinion. Do you give up just because you've had a few setbacks? I'm not sure that such a defeatist attitude would have helped her career much.

What kind of loser would refuse...

Re: WWW AO Quarterfinal: [1] Serena Williams vs [5] Maria Sharapova

Even after all these years I remain optimistic that servebot Shazza has a chance here. Go Masha :yeah:

Whatever the result I hope the match is fun to watch.

Great result for Jo and good composure it close it out :woohoo:

Who'd have thought 2 years ago she'd be the first British woman to reach the dizzy heights of a quarter final? Hope Andy can join...

Re: Muguruza on the WTA : "We all hate each other. Literally".

Well thank you for letting me know what I'm really like. Thank God there's a man here to tell me.

Seriously though, some women actually value the friendship of other women. I know you probably...

And everyone who's stayed at the same hotels as the players :p

When you see them in that environment it's obvious that some of them are friends or at least get along very well. But let's not spoil...

Re: Muguruza on the WTA : "We all hate each other. Literally".

I have worked with a load of women and went to an all girls school. Mostly it was great, a few arseholes certainly but women are definitely no worse than men in that respect.

As for Garbi, it's...

Re: Muguruza: Sharapova screams to intimidate us

I love Maria's murderous screams. I thought Garbi must have modelled her screams on Maria's, they sound so similar, just not quite as fierce yet. She needs to hone them a bit more.

Re: Another insightful comment from an ATP player about homosexuality in the WTA

I always thought Llodra was a complete tosser. The times I ran into him at Eastbourne he was such a prick, I'm not surprised he holds such ridiculous views. I have no idea why Amelie decided to work...

Re: Have Maria's actions at Fed Cup made her more likeable?

No, this poor dear didn't miss it. I think a lot of people would find it hard being friends with people they're constantly trying to beat, and who are trying to beat them. Just because she's the...

Re: Have Maria's actions at Fed Cup made her more likeable?

I've always found Maria very likeable anyway. I know she can make a few spiky comments sometimes but I've never understood why people think she's cold. She's always seemed fairly reserved when it...

I feel your pain. I was driven to look at it to see if there was news about TF. I feel ashamed.

Re: What would be the public reaction in your country to a new slam winner?

True  She'd probably return the following year as Dame Laura. It would be pretty huge if a Brit girl won Wimbledon, wall to wall coverage, first item on the news, messages from Royalty. I...

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

Is the sidebar going to be a permanent eyesore? It's making TF very hard for me to look at.

I love Mirjana too though and it's great to see her give great performances. I just don't like it when it's against my other girls  Please keep it going now Miki

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

That only gets rid of it on threadview pages though unfortunately. As far as I can see you can't get rid of it altogether unless you pay.

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

I did, I was just trying to clarify that we can't do it. It's really irritating to be stuck with the side bar. Is there a reason it's there now when it wasn't before?
