Re: Shenzhen R2: Zvonareva def. Buyukakcay 63 76 (5)

Just call her Large White Tea, elsewise.
Büyük = large/big
ak = white
çay = tea

In all seriousness, it's good for the WTA to have a Turkish player gaining ground on the elite. It was...

Re: Tokyo SF: (3) Ana Ivanovic def. (1) Angelique Kerber 7-5 6-3

I'd rather see her do well in Wuhan and Beijing and then see her withdraw from Linz and/or Moscow. :)

I am impressed by Ana - beating two lefties in a row! Hopefully she can take this form into...

Re: Cincinnati Final WWW: [1] Serena Williams v. [9] Ana Ivanovic

Being an Ivanovic fan, it is easy to know what I'd like to see... but I have to be realistic here. ;)

Serena knows how to beat Ivanovic and I think she has realised by now that Ivanovic needs to...

Re: Cincinnati SF: (9)Ivanovic doesnt choke,and saves 2 MP def. (5) Sharapova 6-2 5-7

Well done to Ana for regrouping after her squandered lead and fighting off two match points to beat one of her toughest opponents.

As an Ivanovic fan, it feels surreal to read that she came back...

Re: Rome SF: [1] Serena def. Ivanovic 6-1 3-6 6-1

Congratulations to Serena. From what I've read she must have played really well. :)

Happy to see that Ana managed to win that second set; she seems to be somewhat less of a mental midget. Let's...

Re: WWW Stuttgart Finals: Sharapova vs. Ivanovic

Despite being an Ana fan, I'll have to be realistic here and go for Maria in 2.

Just like Ana is in Jelena's head, Maria is in Ana's head and as we all know Ana disappears once she plays without...

Re: Stuttgart SF: (9) Ana Ivanovic def. (5) Jelena Jankovic 6-3 7-5

Ana into her first Premier final since IW 2009.

I could cry now...

Re: Auckland Final: (2) Ana Ivanovic def. Venus Williams 6-2 5-7 6-4

Even though I can understand why some people think that Ana's reaction to winning the title was over the top, I think her reaction shows just how much of a burden was resting on her shoulders.

Re: WWW Madrid R3: Ivanovic vs Azarenka

As an Ivanovic fan I'm just hoping she can make this one competitive. If even a solid Radwanska is still too good for her, then surely Azarenka is.

Re: Live Commentary Thread vol3

Not sure what to think of Ivanovic yet... in the last two service games she hit three aces and one df. Her backhand is clearly a weak shot, definitely compared to Paszek's BH DTL. Let's hope she can...

Re: Beijing R1 Ivanovic def Date-Krumm 6-1 6-1

Unfortunately, I can only but agree with you. Losing to Kim still has its effects on Ana today. I mean, to me she looked good (or, at least better than her standard from the last few years) in the...

Re: No wimbledon coverage in the Netherlands?

Who cares, BBC coverage is much better anyway.

As for your question... I have no idea. The last couple of years it was broadcast by Net5, but that one seems to be out of contention... Then again,...

Limburgs (at least, the non-Ripuaric dialects) is officially a regional language within the Netherlands (and not recognised as such in Belgium and Germany). It is definitely more related to...
