Re: The Fall Cometh: Venus Williams

Disagree! I'll predict WTA finals or Sofia (is it still there next year) for year end. She's had amazing results this year. 4 finals is great for any player.

Re: The Fall Cometh: Daniela Hantuchova

She's only gonna get slower. Her anticipation was awful to begin with. I want my Dani back in a grand slam semi :explode:

Re: This isnít your motherís WTA Finals.

Anyone who can be inducted into the tennis Hall of Fame is legendary. Bartoli, with her one lonely slam, is legendary. Whatever anyone believes she has or hasn't accomplished, that title alone,...

Re: This isnít your motherís WTA Finals.

Is this a reference to Serena throwing super shade at Safina? :worship:

I think that this view is flawed. Cibulkova, Errani, Suarez Navarro, Henin are all small (and European!) and have had a...

Re: YEC Rising Star Final: Puig def Saisai 6-4 6-3

So they haven't been awarded any ranking points or prize money for this? I'm happy for Pica either way and I hope they continue this in the future. There are a lot of young and talented girls that...

Re: This isnít your motherís WTA Finals.

Same goes for Majoli. As for the YEC finals in general, it's a HUGE improvement. They're filling seats and it makes sense to expand the Asian market as it's most likely where the sport will be...

Re: This isnít your motherís WTA Finals.

Like it or not Bartoli may in fact be 0-7 but she's a Grand Slam champion... Aga on the other hand, is not.

Re: Moscow SF: (6) Pavlyuchenkova d. Siniakova 6-2 6-2

This match was awful. They were both very error prone. Particularly in the first set. Glad to see Nastya come through though.

Su Wei can get a bit lazy looking and it's hard to watch... but again she's double handed.

Pironkova's awful, irrational, overused forehand slice.

Cornet's annoying spin that never EVER seems...

I've always felt at the very least that wta champs and grand slam finals should go 5. Not many players would really have to endure the physicality and it still adds to that extra excitement only 4/5...

Re: 2010 Race to Bali YEC (after Tokyo): Ivanovic & Hantuchova are awarded the 2 WCs?

This tournament is BOGUS! I personally think Chak and Paszek should've gotten them. They're both in need of points to reach their former highs and should be allowed to see how they measure up against...

Re: Should WTA needs to start to use "VIP" mark instead "WC" for former #1&GS champs?

The stigma behind the acronym of "VIP" alone is reason not to use it. It creates a superiority complex. (Who's poppin bottles at the VIP section, huh? Why am I not there? ... cause you're not...

Re: Arrange The 32 Wimbledon Seeds The Way You Like Them To Be Drawn

awww Clijsters v. Hantuchova ... wouldn't that be a nice drubbing for old times sake. lol.

Might as well seperate her from the rest of the draw while you're at it.

Re: Birmingham F: (2) Black/Raymond def. (1) Huber/Mattek Sands 6-3 3-2 ret.

Congrats Blackmond!

I found that result strange when i first saw it. Good to know that there was no animosity on court.

Re: From RG to Wimbledon, How Will Rezai, Sam, Fran, JJ, Justine and Maria Fare??

Sam: R16|QF... maybe better, all depends on her draw. Tough draws don't seem to mean much to Sam these days tho ; ]
Fran: R16. Only because she's feisty.
JJ: She probably won't make the R16. The...

Re: Peak Stosur vs. Peak Molik: Who Wins?

Peak Stosur... because Peak Molik never made the French Open finals, and chances are if she were to hit a peak again... she STILL won't make the French final or any GS final for that matter. Stosur...

Re: RG Juniors QF: Njiric upsets Puig (1) 6-0 3-6 6-3

Monica! "We were rooting for yu, we were all rooting for yu, how dare yu!" lol. Good result for her tho. Hopefully she can translate results like this to the tour and make some Puerto Ricans proud.

Re: Do you consider Hantuchova to be in a slump?

Daniela could be in the top 20 if she played smaller tournaments. 4th rd results are commonplace for her at the slams so I wouldn't say she's in a slump. She's the type of player that very much...
