Re: Charleston F: Daria Kasatkina def. Jelena Ostapenko 6-3 6-1

Atrocity of a match. Ostapenko's level in the final 4 games wouldn't even win a $25k qualies match. :tape:

Re: Charleston R2: Siegemund takes out Venus 6-4 6-7 7-5

There are bad storms in the area. There's a tornado warning in Charleston today.

Hopefully the attendance will be better later this week. Though with the way that the draw is shaping up.... :tape:

Re: Charleston R2: Siegemund takes out Venus 6-4 6-7 7-5

Venus had the footwork and balance of a drunkard for the majority of the match. Really needed another few days of rest practice on this surface. Hopefully her arm/serve will be better by the time...

Re: WWW Miami QF: [1] Angelique Kerber vs [11] Venus Williams?

Venus has a chance, especially if she serves aggressively like she did tonight. I think slow HCs actually help her off the ground in this matchup too. Thankfully she's playing much better than at...

Re: Miami 4R: Venus Williams def. Kuznetsova 6-3 7-6 (Saves 2 SPs)

Venus was alert from the get-go. Lovely to see. No strapping on her thigh either. :cheer:

Nice to see her hitting bigger 2nd serves too & mixing up the placement more than usual. I don't mind...

Re: IW R4 Vee Williams survives Peng 3-6 6-1 6-3

Peaknus in the final few games of the match.:bowdown:

She's hitting the ball well enough to assault anyone in this draw. Shame that her serve/movement will almost certainly prevent her...

Re: IW R3: Williams def Safarova 6-4 6-2

Nearly flawless from Venus off the ground. She needed to be that sharp with her serve/movement both compromised. Played a tactically perfect match too. :yeah:

Safarova was a mess though.

Re: IW R2 Venus Williams saved 3 MPs def Jelena 'CHOKER' Jankovic 1-6 7-6(5) 6-1

Screaming. Veesus had no business even taking the court, much less winning 4 games, much less winning a set, much less winning the match. :haha: What a goddess though. She actually played at a fairly...

Re: Discussion: Worst top 20 player ever?

I thought of Kremer too. She was a solid top 50 player for a few years but I don't remember her doing much apart from beating up on a slumping Dokic.

Re: St. Petersburg R2: Mladenovic d. [4]Vee "Take the money and hobble" Williams 6-3

Venus should've withdrawn but we all knew that she wasn't going to. Madrid is literally the only tournament that she's withdrawn from over the past 3.5 seasons. Even when she has no business...

Re: Serena df Konta 62 63

Nothing Serena loves more than giving a beatdown to the flavor of the month.

She still is, and will always be, THE QUEEN.

Re: AO R4: [13] Venus Williams def. [Q] Mona Barthel, 6-3 7-5

Sloppier than her past 2 rounds but she started and ended strongly. Awesome serving in the 2nd set too. :inlove:

Re: AO R3: Venus Williams force feeds Duan 61 60

Veesus moving and hitting on the run like it's 2008. :crying2::hearts: That was a brutal beatdown.

Re: AO R2 (2) Serena '15 aces' Williams def Lucie Safarova 6-3 6-4

Now that Ivanovic is retired, I swear Safarova runs Serena ragged more than any other woman on tour. :crying2: No one else makes Serena guess that much on ROS.

Serena's ground game is still patchy...

Re: Former Top 100 players which careers fell apart suddenly?

Julia Cohen. Made that final in Baku and then went on an 11 match losing streak immediately after. 1.5 years later she began another 17 match losing streak. :tape:

Re: Williamses pull out of doubles

Veesus was acting excited about doubles just an hour ago during her post match interview. :rolls: I see you, gerl.

Re: AO R1: Serena def. Bencic 6-4 6-3

Serena was atrocious at the end of the match. :help: She'll need to be 10x sharper vs Safarova.

Brenda is still too slow. People were seriously overrating her chances in this matchup.

Re: Aus Open 1R: V. Williams def. K. Kozlova 7-6(5), 7-5

Things were looking grim around 5-6* but fortunately Venus settled down after that. At least she won't have to deal with the heat again until Week 2 if she makes it that far.

A ton of Peaknus...

Re: Auckland R1: (2) Venus Williams def. (WC) Jade Lewis: 7-6(2), 6-2

Girl bye. We'll be putting up with her FH and 2nd serve through Tokyo 2020 and we all know it.

Re: Auckland R1: (2) Venus Williams def. (WC) Jade Lewis: 7-6(2), 6-2

Venus played fairly well from 5-6* down apart from that blip when serving for the bagel. Hopefully that'll be an adequate warmup for tonight's match.:scared:

Lewis played well before the...

If it's any comfort, they got engaged 3 weeks ago, before she made that Tokyo comment. ;)

Re: Is this the most OPEN Australian open ever?

2012 was more open. I think Serena/Clijsters/Kvitova were the 3 betting favorites in the offseason. Then Serena sprained her ankle in Brisbane, Kim hurt her hip, and it was basically an even playing...

Re: Petra Kvitova 'Fortunate To Be Alive' After Attack By Knife Wielding Intruder

That WTA tweet was pre-scheduled. Note that Kvitova is the world #11, yesterday's countdown featured #12 CSN, Monday's featured #13 Azarenka...

Simply a bad coincidence. Nothing shady.
