Re: Wimbledon R3: [9] Na Li d Nastya Rodionova 61 63 (With Pratt LOOMING In Stands)

not really, anastasia played a much higher level on Thursday and got the match into a fight with a lot of intensity. today against Na Li she could not get any intensity going because the rallies...

Re: Why did Sveta not shake Rodionova's hand?

have to give rodionova credit, she raised her game and played very well in the last 2-3 games when the pressure was really on. sveta's failure to shake hands is more a reflection on her than it was...

Re: Wimbledon R2: Anastasia Rodionova def. Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 2-6, 6-4

she played amazing in the last couple of games. Sveta threw everything at her but she came back with more.

Re: Poitiers 2nd Round: (4) Jelena Dokic def Anastasia Rodionova 6-4 6-2

that's a good win. rodionova has been playing like a top-20 players these last few months.

Re: Serena's Foot fault and penalty point

to all those folk saying that "at that stage of the match you should not call foot fault"

would you allow a tiny let go on a service winner?
if a ball was marginally out, would you turn a blind...

Re: Anastasia Rodionova is such a bitch!

just because anastasia doesn't stand for umpire shit and the like doesn't make her a bitch. she will argue her case no matter what. she's a determined competitor so if a line judge makes a mistake,...

Re: Shvedova/Rodionova/Dulko/K Bondarenko: One Makes the QFS, Who???

hopefully anastasia will make a long-awaited but deserved breakthrough. she's won 5 in a row now beating higher ranked players and is showing improved form and confidence. it would be lovely to see...

Re: USO R2: Rodionova def Lisicki 6-3, 3-6, 7-5

it's a great win for anastasia and too bad that her opponent fell at the end. she showed her concern and then got on with her job as a pro (media, fans etc.). she's not a nurse or physiotherapist.

Re: Wining Wimbledon More Important Than Top Rank

i agree, all players would prefer a Slam over a #1 ranking. to stand there with a GS trophy, to join those historic names, to celebrate match-point in front of 20,000 people. that's better than the...

Re: Wining Wimbledon More Important Than Top Rank

i'm pretty certain that Conchita Martinez, who peaked at #2, would not trade in her Wimbledon title for #1 and I'm sure that ASV would trade her #1 for a Wimbledon title. that's what it means. ...

Re: Which is consider greater? A YEC Title or a Slam final?

it's not quite the same thing though, is it? that's all the draw is, after, the top-8 players. put them together and someone has to win. the reality is that only a handful of the matches are "must...

Re: Which is consider greater? A YEC Title or a Slam final?

If I were to choose between a YEC titlist and a losing Slam finalist, I'll definitely take the Slam finalist position.

It's very hard to earn the ranking points to qualify for the SEC and tough to...

Re: Which is consider greater? A YEC Title or a Slam final?

Just look at the media attention if you want the answer. How much newspaper and TV coverage did the SEC get in your country? Imagine Wimbledon gets a global media score of 100, the US Open 80,...

Re: Which is consider greater? A YEC Title or a Slam final?

sorry, but who outside of tennis cares or even knows about the SEC???

reaching a GS final is not forgotten at all! it means you won a high profile SF and made it through to a really big match. ...

Re: Who has the best sense of humour?

humour is such a big attraction. the reason why safina, petrova and hantuchova don't set the world on fire is because they don't show much of a human side, little humour, too serious about...

Re: Do you think Hantuchova will back on her form next season?

yeah but dani is so talented that she will make the semis again for sure and should be therefore in top 5 again if she can win some more title maybe top 3 is too much but why not top 5. she will be...
