Re: Marion's commentary

Bartoli is good, only needs moderation. She is insightful, but no need to give too much information.

Re: Hingis/Paes complete Career Grand Slam in Mixed Doubles def Mirza/Dodig 4-6 6-4 1

I don't think they have a good chemistry either, which is just as important, if not more.

Re: Hingis/Paes complete Career Grand Slam in Mixed Doubles def Mirza/Dodig 4-6 6-4 1

Just realized Hingis gave Bhupathi and Paes a career slam in mixed dubs. Next target, is a gold medal with Fed.

Would she give a career slam to Mirza too? :oh:

Re: Hingis/Paes complete Career Grand Slam in Mixed Doubles def Mirza/Dodig 4-6 6-4 1

Congrats! :bigclap::bigclap::bigclap: Can't be closer than that scoreline to achieve Career GS. In the classic battle of power vs touch, this time touch prevails.

Re: When will Santina Break Up?

And then what next...? Who else they want to partner with? Will it work as good as them? Full-timer?

Do their partnership revolve around dominance and winning everything at sight?...

Re: FO R3 Krejcikova/Siniakova eviscerate Hingis/Mirza 6-3 6-2

The Czech girls were playing very well. Santina was rattled on serve with Siniakova all over the net and their weak serves certainly didn't help. Santina themselves was ineffective today, they undid...

Re: Umpire accuses Venus of on court coaching against Cornet

I heard Fed once said "I don't know what's wrong with you" to Carlos Ramos during his QF vs Monfils in USO 2014.

Berdych also told Carlos to control the court or something.

Vesnina...

Re: Is a rally ending shot really an essential on clay courts?

You need a finishing blow to take the match away from your opponent, on any surface.

Re: Interesting Pics!!! Captions!!! Vol 9

I think so. Martina's hairline is too far back. Not sure if it's some kind of baldness or it's hereditary. Not sure where that big forehead came from.

Maybe someone should do a photoshop job so we...

Re: Madrid F: [5] Garcia/Mladenovic def. [1] Hingis/Mirza 6-4 6-4

I only followed the livescore... seems like Santina didn't serve well. They were always down a break. Can't be happier though, at least they are consistent again and only lost to the best.

Re: Stuttgart SF: (1)Santina def. Lisicki/Safarova 6-4, 7-5

It's no secret that they're at the most vulnerable when Hingis stays at the baseline with Mirza at the net.

Every point is a mini MP whenever Hingis is serving.

Re: Stuttgart SF: (1)Santina def. Lisicki/Safarova 6-4, 7-5

Lisicki is the weak link, just like Babos in last YEC with Kiki. They have a big serve but very inconsistent all around.

If Safarova teams up again with BMS, they're still difficult to beat.

Re: Cibulkova's not so friendly statement on Sharapova situation

They're not simply being spiteful... and Cibulkova does have a point. I personally know how it feels when you have to meet someone regularly, every day, but this person clearly refuses to acknowledge...

Re: Fox Sports: Maria's Drug Failure 'Far Shadier Than It Seems'

Re: What impact will the drug test fail have in Sharapova's image and career?

If she was smart and scheming all along, she would never forget to open that email every year.

Meldonium was there for a long time, she's stupid if she only sticks with just one drug.

Having...

Re: What impact will the drug test fail have in Sharapova's image and career?

Capriati agrees. But mostly will be more pragmatic like Navratilova, she is clean as long as it's not included in the banned substance list before. Meldonium was there for quite a long time until...

Re: Doha SF Chan sisters def Kasatkina/ Vesnina 3-6 7-6(5) 10-8

Kjendlie

The match point is unnecessarily full of tension. A let call and then a correct call followed by incorrect call on 1st serve (a huge ) that was almost costly for Chan...

Re: Santina lost

It isn't. Dubai not included, too. They were absent there. Here are the titles included in the streak:

1. US Open
2. Guangzhou
3. Wuhan
4. Beijing
5. YEC Singapore
6. Brisbane
7. Sydney
8....

Still amazing feat. Considering the no deuce and super TB scoring.

They are not that far above the competition, so all those in-your-face reminders about the stats will only put more pressure....

Re: Dubai Final : Chuang/Jurak def. Mladenovic/Garcia 6-4 6-4

Typical. The French team lost it when they are the clear favorite to win the match.

Re: Players with humble origin

Western and Northern part of Europe is more appropriate, I think.

So far I only consider Pova and Rezai who really come from humble background. I may forget a few others, but these two are the...
