Re: RG Rd128: WWW? Venus vs. Belinda Bencic

It depends which Venus shows up. if she's exhausted because of her condition she might go out, if she's healthy, I like her to win in straight sets quite easily.

Re: RG FQR: (2) Heather Watson GBR crushes Anett Kontaveit EST 6-1 6-1

If Halep is still battling any kind of injury Heather could take advantage. I agree it's highly unlikely but stranger things have happened.

Re: Strasbourg F: Monica Puig claims her first WTA title d. Silvia Soler-Espinosa 6-4

I managed to capture the last few games after the Bouchard-Pliskova final and Monica was super aggressive and really went for all of her shots. I've not seen much of her but if she continues to be...

Re: RG FQR: (2) Heather Watson GBR crushes Anett Kontaveit EST 6-1 6-1

Woot! that's the way to play for Heather. Hopefully she can find the same form that she had when she was winning events. Hope she can win a couple rounds here!

Re: RG Q3: Aleks Wozniak def. Cagla Buyukakcay 64 64

Glad she got through qualifying at her best grand slam! I'm really glad that she is playing good tennis again. Canadian tennis is so much better off when she's around and playing her best. She has a...

Re: Nurnberg Finals: [2] Bouchard def. Pliskova 6-2 4-6 6-3

I'm really thankful that Sportsnet was around to show this final. Eugenie was dominant in that first set, there wasn't much that Pliskova could do, but once she got up 4-2 in the...

Re: Fed Cup WG II: ARG 2 - GBR 1 // Ormaechea def Robson

Oh dear... Not sure why Judy Murray went with Bally on this one... she's still not over her injuries and illness. Even Konta would have been a better choice. Argentina really came through....

Aleksandra Wozniak to miss three more months from the tour

Looks like the shoulder is acting up... AGAIN! Ugh :( Her ranking is going to plummet out of the top 100. I thought she had taken enough time off to get...

Re: Rebecca Marino calls time on her tennis career.

I feel bad for Becca. A lot of people have been hard on here in these forums (myself included) have been rather harsh on her. With the absence of Wozniak due to injury in 2010 and 2011 she really did...

Re: Fed Cup Play-Off draws

Hmm, not the best draw Canada could have gotten (I would have preferred Argentina) but if we can get Aleks to return and play healthy, the combination of her and Eugenie playing singles (even if it...

Re: WTA 125K Cali: Sharon Fichman (CAN) crushes (8)Tatjana Malek 6-2 6-0

Uh... how? After the way she played in Fed Cup I would have expected a scoreline in reverse! Good for Sharon though, wish she would have played like this last weekend and not blowing it against a...

Re: AO R1: Shuai Peng crushes Rebecca Marino 6-3, 6-0

Becca definitely looked outta shape - she had a bit of a gut and was just sluggish all around, I really think she needs to get back into the gym, work on her fitness and then slowly work her way back...

Re: Osaka Final: Heather Watson def. KFC 'Kelly' Chang 75 57 76(4)

:bounce::bounce::bounce: for Heather. This is such a huge result for British Tennis in general. It would have been nice to see Andy win the final in Shanghai but this has been such an amazing summer...

Re: Rio : Clay?

I think Rio will most likely be on hard courts quite honestly. In the bid book and the bid presentation, every indication I've seen says that the tennis will be on hard court. Since being...

Re: US Open Rnd 1: Aleks Wozniak d. Alex Candantu 6-0 6-3

:bounce: for Aleks, I don't get the haters out there who deny her talent. She has wins over the likes of Schiavone, Li Na, Stosur, Bartoli, Peer, Zheng Jie, Hantuchova, Jankovic, Bammer, Petrova,...

Dallas 2R Wozniak def. Bouchard 6-2 6-2

Didn't see or hear about the match but :bounce: for Aleks! And now she plays Dellacqua who beat Wickmayer, so an excellent chance to make semis here! Really hope she can get her 2nd WTA victory this...

Re: London Olympic R1: Aleksandra Wozniak def. Marina Erakovic 6:2 6:1

:bounce::bounce::bounce: Aleks!

Truth be told, I was expecting Erakovic to win today because Marina is a pretty good grass-court player. Looks like her serve really let her down and just made too...

Re: Palermo Final: ERRANI (1) d. "Barbie" Zahl. Stryc. 61 63

Sara is a heck of a clay courter either way. She doesn't really have anything to hurt you with, but she's stupid consistent, has great net play, gets everything back and drives opponents nuts, so...

Stanford F: Erakovic/Watson def. King/Gajdosova 7-5 7-6

It's not the biggest title ever, but a WTA Tour Title for Great Britain! :bounce::bounce::bounce::hearts::hearts:

When was the last time GB won a title of any kind on the WTA tour? Either way,...

Re: Who has tennis tickets to the 2012 London Olympics?!

Sounds like they used the same balloting system for tickets in London that they did for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, I applied for a bunch of tickets too but all I got were tickets for the...

Re: Olympics : Wild Cards List.

I always got the impression that even though they've been Fed Cup Teammates for years that they didn't like each other all that much? Am I wrong? So either way it's going to be interesting to see...

Re: Race to 2012 Olympic Games in London is over (singles and doubles inside)

 Aleks and Stephanie playing doubles together?!? Really? I'm super stoked for Steph to be an Olympian, but I never expected these two to play together...
