Re: Aus Open Final: (7) Angie Kerber SHOCKS (1) Serena Williams 6-4 3-6 6-4

Brava! :worship:

Kerber really puts a spice on the tour. She usually makes for entertaining, great matches thanks to her epic defense, so it's nice to see it getting rewarded in the biggest...

Re: AO R3 Barbora Strycova make 1st AO R4 SHOCKs (3) Garbine Muguruza 6-3 6-2

Very happy for Barbie. Muguruza was starting to look like she needed a loss like this to settle down a little.

Re: Frozen blood samples could spark biggest ever doping scandal

You are right. That was the objection to making those bags go public at the time. As far as I can tell, laws were just applied correctly, as frustrating as it is.

Re: Bring back the Blue Clay

Yeah. I was just going to post that interview. It's a pity that it all got ruined by that last minute salt they poured on the courts, 'cause the blue clay surely looked great, even better in person....

Re: 2015 YEC F: La Profesora AGAcadabra def. Petra Kvitová 6-2, 4-6, 6-3

Seeing Aga get so emotional is really touching. She's such a talented and clever player that it was disheartening to see her lack of power always preventing her from winning big. So now that she's...

Re: Is tennis the top sport for women in your country?

In Spain I would say basketball is the most practiced sport and also the one we're most successful at on the women side.

Re: The surface in Singapore is amazing...

Do the players ever complain about this to the WTA? I always wonder, 'cause it clearly affects the quality of the game, yet the WTA doesn't even seem to be aware of it. It's really frustrating. We...

Re: did the update scare users away ?

But you can switch back to the old design if you want, at the bottom of the page. That's what I did and now that I learned how to remove the sidebar I really have no problem with it (thanks fed_up!).

Re: New site look and software upgrade Feedback Thread

I can't get the right sidebar to disappear even though I disabled it on "edit your details".

Re: WTA Stars Wish 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Good Luck!

Given some of the reactions here I expected it to be some embarrassing mess but it's actually kind of cute and lighthearted? I liked it. :yeah:

Re: Pronunciation of "Muguruza"

So what if they pronounce it like in Spain? It is correct, and the player herself pronounces it that way because his father and surname are from Spain. Big deal.

It seems like this trivial thing...

Re: BOMBSHELL!!!!!!! Kateryna KOZLOVA (UKR) banned for doping!!! 6 months since Dubai

Exactly this.

Tennis is a big farce, really, and it will be as long as the ITF keeps doing the tests and protecting the big fish.

There's a lot of people in Spain who are in denial/don't...

You're right. I think players in general really like Madrid because of the facilities. The atmosphere is frankly good, too, but it doesn't translate that well on those huge, cold...

Re: Madrid 3rd encounter: Pavlu vs Kvitty?

They've had good matches before, most of them very close. But yeah, they are not precisely at their best right now so it doesn't look good.

Re: Sergio Giorgi Shocks: ´There is Doping in Tennis´

Then the ones at the supposedly clean Olympics would still find a way to get an advantage and dope without getting caught  And those at Dopelympics wouldn't play at fair ground either because...

Re: Sergio Giorgi Shocks: ´There is Doping in Tennis´

:yeah:

Agreed. Doping should stay illegal since it is not healthy. It can even threaten your live (heart failures, blood cots, and so on). By allowing doping, you would be basically forcing...

Re: Bombshell: I Serena returning to Indian Wells?

Yep.

It would be nice if the tournament organized an event to publicly apologize to Serena (Venus and Richard too if they go) and pay tribute to her career or something. Hopefully they'll do...
