Re: Cincinnati QR1 Kimiko Date Krumm d Galina Voskoboeva 6-4 6-0

Never ever in doubt. KDK is a tactical genuius and Galina an erratic player, although I am the greatest fan on earth of Lady Galina Voskoboeva the result is no surprise, it is mind over mediocre...

Re: WWW: Roland Garros R1 "battle": [18] Jankovic vs Hantuchova??

Voted for her, too. She's a professional player on the WTA-tour, so it is not impossible for Miss Hantuchova to win matches sometimes ... ;)

Re: Barcelona, FQR: Yuliya Beygelzimer def. (6)Petra Rampre 6:3, 6:2

Seems more like a bagel ;) (bejgl/beygl, a bakery product with some jewish tradition from Eastern-Europe similar to a yeast item also available in the US). Nevertheless an interesting name.

Re: Lovely interview with Andrea Hlaváckova

It is in the eyes of the beholder (a matter of taste, as always). She has that special something of the grounded and attractive girl next door, much better than a total beauty of the airbrushed...

Of course, this is possible: you have to be a member of the LOB.

Re: Lovely interview with Andrea Hlaváckova

"Pilsner Urquell" :lick: - one of the best beers around in the whole world. Nevertheless: the charming Andrea is quite a perfect thing, the true innocence of the early Dementieva, the eloquent...

Re: Paris SF: Kerber def. Wickmayer 6-7(2) 6-3 6-4

The Schüttler-Waske-Academy seems to have converted a grey duck into a beautiful and lightening swan - the talent, of course, was there long before. She's so much cooler than she was before.

Re: Eastern Europe def. Western Europe this weekend at the Fed Cup

What's all this? Beethoven? Schiller? Has anyone ever heard of them, I don't know them at all (Perhaps Chuck Berry has a clue? ;)). Save us from the meanies and the EUSSR.

Re: AO QF: (7)Hradecka/Hlavackova d. (3)King/Shvedova 7-5 6-2

God up in heaven, the Czechs have indeed a luxury problem at the upcoming Olympics. They could nominate at least three competitive teams in doubles (Iveta, Barbora, Andrea, Kveta, Lucie, Vladimira)...

Re: Ekatarina Makarova def Serena Williams 6-2, 6-3

Katja has now entered the Top 50 in singles and is in the QF of doubles, too. :bigclap: - a total shootout here :worship: - today it was enough to be solid and clever as Serena unfortunately seemed...

Re: AO R2: Arn edges out Cibulkova 6-2 3-6 10-8

Greta is a real tennis sniper - always coming out of nowhere and unexpected scalping favourites (Estoril, Auckland, 3RD Wimbledon) and now this weird match, which is her best AO result ever. All in...

Re: Hobart SF: Barthel d. Kerber 60 76(6)

Weird match. The extreme rolling over Kerber in set number one reminded me of the Graf-Zvereva match at the FO ages ago. But praise be to Barthel, she is the dark horse of modern times in the circuit...

Re: Whose prettier: Benesova or Zvonareva?

Most weird confrontation ever, except for the lips and the eyes Iveta rules the comparison from A-Z, and loses it all because of the overall personality.

Re: Phoenix 75K Final: Thunderous def. MLDB 6-1, 7-5

Re: Best city to organise YEC after Istanbul is done?

I checked it up - the hall was damaged slightly 1945, there was a minor renovation in 1997 and 2011 a total redevelopment is going on (which is the reason for upcoming great EU-subventions).

Re: Best city to organise YEC after Istanbul is done?

Are you joking? Breslau was more or less totally destroyed 1945, what was left was rotten until 1990. :wavey:
