Roos van der Zwaan

Roos van der Zwaan is a 17 y.o. from Rijswijk who has won 5 national titles and has a juniors combined ranking of 458.
She did her final exams the past weeks and now she can completely focus on her tennis. She reached the final of the Juniors grade 4 tournament at the KNLTB centre in Almere in February. She has won 5 national titles and a lot is expected of her as she is the best Dutch girl after de Vroome who was born in 1996. She wears Adidas clothing and her racket sponsor is Technifibre. I'm curious how far she can go in her career and if she really has what it takes :) She said on her facebook she is gonna play futures, starting with the ITF 10k Amstelveen tournament next week for which she won a wildcard. Also she is playing at 10k Alkmaar and 10k Breda.

Good luck Roos! :D

And a picture of her with Michaella Krajicek in 2003:

A 36 67(4) loss to Barbat in R1 of Amstelveen, a decent scoreline though

Roos van der Zwaan is performing well in Israel. After a semifinal in the ITF 2 last week and a final in the ITF 3 this week she hopes to end the Isreali tour with a successful last week!

Great few weeks for Roos, SF in Almere, QF in Heiveld, SF in Raanana and a Final in Bat Yam :cheer: Of the 13 matches she won she also won 11 of them in straight sets and her worst score
in a 2 set match was 61 64 :spit: :hearts: Played both 3 set matches against Russian player Pribylova and won them both.

And won the doubles title in Almere too :)

Re: Roos van der Zwaan

Roos played some bigger junior tournaments in South America in January where she got quite okay results. Because these tournaments were Grade 1, she did get quite some points for the junior rankings.
She is now nearing the top-100. The next weeks she is playing her first pro tournaments of the year, at 10k Palmonova in Mallorca together with other juniors Van Dijkman, Rikkert and Luttikhuis. She doesn't have any WTA points yet.

All girls won their first rounds in qualifying, Roos beat Ormazabal-Oregui 61 62 and now plays against Luttikhuis.

Lost 7-6 6-3 to Ferrer. No shame  Still no ranking after this week unfortunately.

She will get that ranking soon hopefully, just one more MD win needed :)

She lead 4-2 in the 1st too by the way.
