Eva Wacanno
 

Eva Wacanno is a 22 y.o who has been playing for some years now. Last year at the Indoor Masters she pushed Rus to 3 sets and is returning this week from a shoulder injury which has kept her away from the courts for 6 months(!). She played her last future tournament in Serbia in mid-August were she made the 2nd round. Because of the Injury she has dropped from 550 to 880 in the rankings, and she is playing in the MD of 10k Helsingborg this week and is excited to return to action :)

Eva lost 16 64 26 to Karen Barbat in the 1st round of 10k Helsingborg, but she did come back in the match as she was down 16 *02 0-30 and 16 *24.

Next week she is playing 10k Netanya.

Derde set 62 verloren. Mezelf goed in de wedstrijd gespeeld. Heb in ieder geval weer een wedstrijd gespeeld en weet wat mn aandachtspunt is

Yesterday Eva defeated Julia Kimmelmann in German competition 6-7 7-6 10-8 :eek: :eek: (don't know if the 3rd set was a match tiebreaker or games by advantage)

Kimmelmann had only lost one match so far this year and has won 3 futures already. Great win for Eva :eek:

I reckon it must've been a match tiebreaker. You don't see too many advantage sets apart from the slams and Davis Cup. Anyway, I'll keep an eye on her from now on.

Eva defeated Pekhova 76 75 and Stanciute 64 62 to qualify for the MD of 25k Tallinn :eek: :cheer: :D

Her 1st 2 ITF wins after her comeback :) She plays Lyudmila Kichenok in the 1st round.

In Ashkelon, Israel, to play 2 10Ks. Really smart choice, cause the draw is quite weak and I think she has quite a chance to get the title! Good luck :)
