Davis needs to be slapped. What an annoying girl.

Bojana dominated the first set before Davis raised her level to win the second; third set was more of the first set (amidst more blatant gamesmanship and general bitchiness on Davis's part) until Bojana had two chances to serve for the match at *52 and *54, at which point she forgot how to play tennis entirely... until she was down triple match point at *56 and hit a second serve that barely clipped the tape and rolled over. Took that chance to win 10 of the next 12 points and go up 5:2 in the tiebreak, but was way too scared of the win and lost the plot.

That was CRAZY but very predictable. Davis is a backboard and Bobusic got very tight given the situation.

Sadly, Bojana is the next Monique Adamczak -- an Aussie battler until it's time to close out the match, then she becomes a choker.

Nice fight from Lauren. Really glad she toughed this one out. That backhand can be really strong... dare I say a weapon. I was surprised at how hard she could hit off that wing. More often than not though she resorted to being a backboard/pusher. That last point illustrated it perfectly. She's gonna have to really step up if she wants to progress much further up the rankings.

Did she actually get one? Shame the chair umpire didn't have the guts to give her another one the next ten times she blatantly exceeded the limit by playing with the ball in an incredibly careful and methodical manner prior to every point once things weren't going her way. :haha:

Though her backhand can be strong, given her limitations, being a backboard is about all she can be. But make the most of your abilities, and you can have a solid career.....Onto round 2!
