It isn't good...at all, but at least there is a top 10 player and a former top 10 in Indy (who can hopefully hit some form here)

Uberalova came back from bad injuries, so she needed to start over and to play many events in order to regain her form and make some points.

First, it's always weak
Second, Uberalova has to be one of the most overranked Juniors, and Siniakova will be too after this tourney  Julia Cohen worshippers  :worship:  I bet some random Japanese player will win :D OMG how is Hsu 2nd seed at a Grade A :sobbing: This is like Mexico all over again :(

You gotta' be kidding me
Seriously, Petra was 2-1 over Putintseva, 1-0 over Gavrilova some years ago, she defeated Khromacheva 6-2 6-0 in 2008 and you're telling me she's overranked now? :spit: Why? Just because she was severly injured for 2 back to back years and needed to play more than an usual player to recover some of her form? She's a huge underachiever.

Oh, and I like particularly this one, from january 2009 (Petra was 13):

1st round: (WC)Petra Uberalová (SVK) - Diana Marcinkevica (LAT) 6:2, 7:5

Does that name ring a bell to you? :oh:

She did play a lot, but still she wasn't whoring, as she was heavily underranked and far from her form.
And by the way, she didn't play all 47 tourneys this year, 5 singles + 5 doubles = 10 tournaments were played in november and december 2011.

I never said she wasn't an under-achiever, I said she was overranked. Give her current results she doesn't deserve her ranking, and I don't think anyone doubts it. I haven't seen her beat 1 Top 10 player at all this year and yet she is Number 6  When she beat Diana, that I am sure was when she wasn't overranked and Diana was shit until this year so her at 13 barely counts  And it was juniors: have you seen Diana's Junior results  I never said she whored. I said she was overranked and that she played too many events. They are both true. Just because she hasn't beaten anyone of value isn't her fault, she just happened to come across weak fields. She also hasn't achieved anything at Pro level. Yes she has shown some glimpses of Top 10 form, but wins over only Gasparyan and Eraydin does not justify her ranking  That doesn't mean she isn't good, she just isn't that good anymore, although she is a good doubles player :)

Re: Osaka Mayor's Cup - World Super Junior Tennis Championships, GA, 22-28 October

To be honest I'm relating the overranking concept more to the talent than to the players one have defeated. Petra couldn't achieve anything at pro level because she didn't play pros since her comeback.
Other than that, I guess we need to agree to disagree on many things, cause I'm not really fond of arguing with you again :oh:

OK :)
I agree with your point about talent for sure, but I think the results is the only issue IMO. Anyway, we have cleared up that we have different definitions of overranked :)
