*Due to insufficient data, the following singles players were not included in the 2012 preseason rankings, but will be eligible for the 2013 spring season:

Rachel Kahan – Duke University (#58 in final 2012 spring rankings)

This means Kahan will not play during the fall? That's what I thought it meant in the past, but Gibbs was still ranked so :confused:

Re: Ranking 2012-3

per knoxt's request;

It's all guesswork, but naturally players who did well in the Fall will get high rankings. And more wins against ranked opponents, the better.

Previous ranking;
I've bolded the ones who played well.

Ema Burgic of BU is unranked, but maybe her playing #4 last season didn't help. But she advanced all the way from PQ to MD at WAATC, was finalist of Texas Regional, and just won the JKC invite. And she'll play #1, so she'll be sure to play NCAA.

Most of the top players did well, so there might not be much change at the top.

Brynn might break into top 10 due to her fantastic fall result; WAATC and NIIC Quarterfinalist and Regional finalist.
Niedermayerova too, for that matter. WAATC Quarterfinalist, won the Regional, advanced to NIIC Cons. semifinal.

Of the Freshmen, Hardebeck, Elbaba, Collins, Kay will get highly ranked I guess. I wonder who'll top the list, Krista, WAATC Quarterfinalist, Regional champ, and beating Guarachi at NIIC, or Julia, WAATC Finalist?

Zoe/Gabi defeated UGA and UVA teams at WAATC to advance to MD, Regional semifinalist, NIIC Cons. Finalist.
