Samantha Stosur's Top 2011 Wins???

DEF - (2)Sharapova (Istanbul YEC - 6/1 7/5)
Started the match on fire, blazing away to a routine first set, coming back from a break in the second to score her first victory in 10 matches against Pova

DEF - (2)Zvonareva (US Open QF - 6/3 6/3)
Another one of her overpowering displays against Vera, clinical and momentum builing in the road to the US Open title.

DEF - (5)Schiavone (Rome QF - 6/2 6/4)
Didn't see this match, but getting revenge against Schiavone (ON CLAY) for the French last year!!!

DEF - (5)Li (Istanbul YEC - 6/1 6/0)
On paper the easiest win of the year, and only 2 days after being defeated handily by Azarenka.

DEF - (13)A.Radwanska (Toronto SF - 6/2 5/7 6/2)
Significant in that this was a match for a Top 10 ranking... Sam proved agains she has a better mental game to cope in high pressure matches.

DEF - (28)S.Williams (US Open F - 6/2 6/3)
What more can I say... Not only defeating Williams in a major final, but handing her her equal lowest games won in a GS final loss... Facing a fired up Williams after a call went against her, Sam showed excellent composure and attitude in winning her first GS (of many i hope), playing "like she must"...

DEF - (29)Kirilenko (US Open 4r - 6/2 6/7 6/3)
After a marathon in the match before everyone believed that Sam would have faulted after the LONGEST TIEBRAKE IN WOMENS GS HISTORY... but she forshadowed the mental stangth that would leead to her winning the US... Can i just say, How can someone get so many challenges correct???

DEF - (30)Petrova (US Open 3r - 7/6 6/7 7/5)
THE LONGEST MATCH AT THE US IN THE WOMANS DRAW SINCE TIEBREAKS WERE INTRODUCED saw Sam win her second match against Petrova. (even though ranked 30) Nadia was playingf like when she was ranked Top 10... Realistically Sam would have loved to put this away on one of the three (i think) match points she had in the second set but Nadia red lined on those points...

DEF - (92)Kerber (US Open SF - 6/3 2/6 6/2)
Even though this was an expect win... this is the reason i put this in... .Sam was not only expected to win... but do it easily and we all know what happens when sam is ment to win... However she played a solid match and against a Lefty too...

i guess, this poll need multicheck :)
Of course the greatest Sam' result is USOpen title, so the win over Serena on 1st place.
But her win over Franchesca at French Open, and over Sharapova in Istanbul, and many others are priseless too.

^Francesca at Rome? :p

Maybe this thread should be about Sam's second best win? Might make the poll a bit closer.

The best win is trivial and even as a poll for second place I disagree with some of your choices. This would be my top 10:

1 US OPEN F Williams, Serena (USA) 27 6-2 6-3
2 WTA CHAMPIONSHIPS R1 Sharapova, Maria (RUS) 2 6-1 7-5
3 US OPEN R32 Petrova, Nadia (RUS) 30 7-6(5) 6-7(5) 7-5
4 STUTTGART Q Zvonareva, Vera (RUS) 3 2-6 6-3 7-6(3)
5 EASTBOURNE Q Zvonareva, Vera (RUS) 3 4-6 7-6(4) 6-4
6 EASTBOURNE R32 Petrova, Nadia (RUS) 37 6-1 6-4
7 US OPEN Q Zvonareva, Vera (RUS) 2 6-3 6-3
8 WTA CHAMPIONSHIPS R1 Li, Na (CHN) 5 6-1 6-0
