2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
The end-of-year Aussie ITFs aren't far off now, starting in Alice Springs on Sep 5.
The entry list is out and although it'll change a bit before the tournament starts, some interesting things to note: Jess Moore and Marija Mirkovic are early withdrawals. No sign of Sophie Letcher  Monika Wejnert and Jade Hopper are still nowhere to be seen. And no Shannon Golds either  Aussie girls that are on the list include Sally Peers, Casey, Liv, Tammi P, Bojana, Izzy, Sophie F, Dani D, Monique plus lots of scrubs. No Ashleigh Barty but my fave 2 NT players are on the list: Kassandra Dunser (who's been injured for a lot of this year) and Tarlina Tipungwuti, who's now in the top 100 in Australia after being unranked at the start of the year and is being coached by Alun Jones :) |
Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
I wonder if the internationals got out a map of Austrlaia, found Alice Springs and went...:weirdo: fuck that.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Poor Alice Springs
I actually think it's a better location than many ITF stops in Australia. Although it's a long way from anywhere, Alice is an easy 2 hour flight from every capital city in Australia. Seems better than trying to get to somewhere like Esperance, imho. |

Oh gee, classy response Monika.

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
To be fair I just copy and pasted a small part of something she said...
I wouldn't see the hahaha's as bad, just part of normal conversations. Same as people do the lol at the end of everything. Still only a teen, never know what may happen in the future... Rajicic been sighted in any upcoming tournaments? |
Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Bit worried about Letcher too if shes still playing:(

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Monika :o.
How depressing , I really thought she could be a decent player. It isn't like her results were that bad, surely good enough to keep giving it a go? |
Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Typical response one might expect from a kid that has no desire left to play. Shame indeed, she played differently to the others and seemed to have some potential.

monika wejnert.....another great ais coaching success story!!

Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Possibly a money issue, could be a conflict with AIS. I think at her young age it would be pretty easy to get it beaten out of her.

I think the 32 player qualifying draw may have kept some of the lower ranked players away too. |
Re: 2011/12 Aussie ITF circuit
Really hope Liv can win a few of these Aussie 25ks and get her ranking up where it should be.
