Natalia Siedliska
Born: 09/12/1995
You probably haven't heard about her because she's completely ignored in Poland as she lives in Germany and doesn't play any tournaments in Poland. IMO she's currently Poland's best prospect born after 1992. She just reached a SF in a 10k in Portugal. Good luck to her :yeah: |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
Yes, I completely haven't heard of her.
Just saw the history of her career and still I think that Maciejewska is our biggest prospect. Natalia was barely winning matches in juniors and now the semi in Portugal. Hmm... still good luck to her. ;) |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
That's true but she basically has played junior tournaments only when she was 13-14, so losing isn't that surprising. Natalia definitely seems to have imrpoved a lot. And well, Maciejewska is still to achieve anything more significant that height records ;)

Re: Natalia Siedliska
^^
top100 in juniors is significant in Polish conditions. :p |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
Lost 3:6, 0:6. I hope this semifinal was not only because of her lucky draw (beat 2 unranked players on her way) and she'll have some more good results soon.

Re: Natalia Siedliska
Well, her last 2 wins where over really good players (Rizzollo beat last week's RU and the other girl was in SF herself), so these are good wins and 10k SF is certainly a bigger achievement than Top 100 in juniors (which isn't hard at all in Polish conditions) :p

29 Head Cup Bruchkoebeler Jugendturnier Germany
28 Jun 2011 to 03 Jul 2011 Entry: DA Clay (O) 64 W Noemi HEMMERICH (GER) 6-2 3-6 6-4 32 W Nina KHRISANOVA (RUS) 6-0 6-4 16 L Tayisiya MORDERGER (GER) 2-6 4-6 Morderger beat Maciejewska a week later in three sets so she was in form. Too bad Siedliska doesn't play Polish Championships so we would see what her level is just to compare to other players. :) |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
What is Natalia's style of play? I'm asking as she's the biggest enigma in Poland for me now :p
Other juniors: Nalborska - pusher with some good slices, some nice variety Maciejewska - strong serve, great variety, lot of power but inconsistent, fragile mentality Lewandowska - ballbasher at it best, solid serve, strong mentally Baranska - the champion of one hit  strong serve, a lot of shrieks But all those girls are 177 cm and taller so Natalia's style might be very different. |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
She just won her first round match in 10k in Spain, and as she won 7 points in her two others previous tournaments, she will be have WTA rank on August 22nd with 8 points at least, so nice debut in rankings, in at least top1100.
Good luck to continue your progress, and in her next match in Spain. |
Re: Natalia Siedliska
