Grass Season 2011
Just like last year, I feel that the best way to get over a loss is by focusing on the next tournament. Next tournament is Eastbourne, which starts on the 13th of June. Lets face it, she can't do much worse than last year's grass season so hopefully it'll be better this year :cheer:

Extra practice on grass courts...

Who knows maybe she'll have an incredibly good Wimby, surprise us all :p

Re: Grass Season 2011
another good thing. NO pressure at wimby.

except maybe her own for not wanting to suck at 3 consecutive GS

Re: Grass Season 2011
Well I've got tickets for Eastbourne on the Wed and Thurs, so she better make it that far!

I'm actually looking forward to grass season...I am getting in the frame of mind that this years season will be MUCH better than last years. I guess it really can't be worse and think of all those points she can get without the pressure of defending :D

I hope she can do really good on the grass this season.

Re: Grass Season 2011
She made the semis at Eaatbourne last year, didn't she?

So her grasscourt game wasn't all bad. And she was pretty unfortunate to get Kanepi first round at Wimby, who's now top 20.

Re: Grass Season 2011
Yeah Kanepi was a pretty tricky draw, plus after FO final and Eastbourne semis in the interview she said by the time she got to Wimby she felt she was done ... or something like that. Plenty of rest this time so hopefully much better showing.

Re: Grass Season 2011
Serena and Venus are playing Eastbourne and Wimbledon. Will be very interesting to see how they are seeded and how that affects the draw. Although I think Sam can beat them on a good day, I'd prefer she didn't meet either in an early round. Lots of pressure to prove WTA is valid without S and V - if it is they should not be able to come in and make mincemeat of the competition. However, who knows?? Any predictions?

Re: Grass Season 2011
I can just see Sam having to face them in either R1 or R2... :scared: For Eastbourne that is, depends what they do at Wimbledon in terms of the seeding.

Brutal draw I'd say. Mind you, if she actually got through it and made a decent showing it would be a great confidence booster for Wimbledon. First round is a bitch though - and I have tickets for later in the week for God sake...

Petrova is in dreadful form! So could have been much worse
