Height: 175cm

Abbie is currently Australia's highest ranked junior girl with a ranking of 147 and is by far the most promising NSW junior at the moment. She recently won a couple of AMT's back to back without droping a set, beating players like Jenny Le (twice), Lejla Husic, Deeon Mladin and Tyra Calderwood.
Later in the year she will play the Junior Fed Cup Finals and has a decent chance to end the year with a senior ranking if she decides to play some ITF's.

She ending up losing 3-6 6-2 6-0. Great effort against a top 50 player. Cant wait to see who she goes in AO qualies.

Yeah she's really making everyone notice her which is good :yeah: Lucie can be very up & down but she still did a great job :yeah: I'm sure there are girls she could beat in the Q draw in Melbourne.

Myers vs Chan

Chan had the home crowd advantage here, with the small seating full with Melbourne’s Taiwanese community. I saw from 6-1 to Chan and Abbie played quite well and was able to rally quite easily with Chan. When she pressed to win the point, she generally made an error by centimetres, whereas Chan was able to find the lines/corners.

I like Abbie’s forehand. It has some ‘hold’ on it, safety and hit cleanly. Reasonable compact game, no wow factor but no weaknesses. I think Abbie is working with Gavin Hopper, therefore the many overseas tournaments she played last year training at his academy.

Abbie has a tough R1 match, she faces Ellen Allgurin who won the Antalya title last week :sobbing:

In doubles she plays again with Basak Eraydin and are the 4th seeds, they play against Zakarlyuk and Zanosiyenko
