Surely she deserves one after winning a $10K, no?

Her ITF profile page (http://www.itftennis.com/womens/play...ayer=100111081) says that she was born in August 1992 (she'll soon turn 18 y.o.) and that she lives in Zagreb.

Her career-high ranking in juniors is 180, achieved in January 2010; in the pros, it's 1015 (from October 2009) but that will jump up once results from last week's $10K in Bol are accounted for.

Good luck in your career, Dijana--it's exciting to have another young Croat to cheer for!

Dijana is playing in this week's $10K in Sibenik. She got into the MD as a SE after winning Bol last week.

In R1 she beat Dalia ZAFIROVA 62 64. It's a good win, as Zafirova is #530 with a career-high ranking of 499. That's the 10th match won in a row for Dijana (4 QD and 5 MD matches in Bol)!

It looks like Dijana's win last week against Mezak was no fluke--she did it again today! Dijana won 64 26 64. That's her 11th win in a row.

In the QF she plays a qualifier, Jasmina KAJTAZOVIC (#826, career-high #518).

This is a good opportunity for Dijana to reach another SF. Good luck, Dijana!

In the SF she plays Gojnea, who beat Akiki but not without a fight: 64 75. Gojnea is unranked but only because she's coming back from an extended absence. She has a career-high ranking of 177 and has a 15-0 W-L record since coming back at Hvar earlier this month. That'll be a bridge much too far for Dijana.

Regardless, it has been an amazing two weeks for Dijana: her W-L record during that time is 15-1 (I bet she too is wondering what's going on). She's currently unranked but will re-enter the rankings at ~810 next week, after last week's Bol results are counted. The week after that, once this week's Sibenik results are counted, she'll move up to ~740 (assuming she loses in the SF). Not bad for two week's work.

A week later and Dijana jumps up to another career-high ranking: #734!

Dijana is in the MD of next week's $10K in Velenje (SLO). Let's hope her recent good form wasn't a fluke!

In R1 Dijana plays Polona REBERSAK (23 yo; #1022; career-high #499, four years ago).

She got unlucky with the draw. In R2 she plays Stephanie VOGT (career-high #221), who double-bageled the #6 seed, Alice MORONI. Oh well, at least Dijana won one match.

By the way, Dijana also won her R1 doubles match:
BANOVEC (CRO) / KAJTAZOVIC (BIH) defeated BULGAKOVA (HUN) / SUSANYI (HUN) 6-2 6-1.

Dijana is playing qualies at the $50K in Maribor. In QR1 she beat Carlotta Orlando 62 60. In QR2 she beat Dasa Orlic 61 61. In QRF she plays Vivien Juhaszova, a 16 yo ranked in the low 1000s.

Good luck, Dijana. Regardless, she has already picked up 4 points, which will give her a new career-high ranking somewhere around 690 (welcome to the top 700!).

That's 6 points (7? does she get an additional point for MD R1?), so she'll move up to ~675 :yeah:

Unfortunately, in MD R1 she plays Julia Schruff (#181, career-high #52). At least it'll be good experience for her to see how the big girls play.
