Svetlana has won a WTA title?
|
Didn't she win it in Finland?
|
Kournikova
|
Kournikova has 4 finals, Dementieva - also 4 finals, Panova 3 finals, Vera has 1 final.. I don't think Nadya or Lina ever reached finals.
|
I think the most likely to win next would be either Elena Bovina or Lina.
|
Vera will be the next title winner! ;)
|
Which Vera, Jordan? ;) Z or D? I bet you mean Z!
Right ys. I think Svetlana did win in Finland. But was that a WTA tournament or a challenger? |
poor cat... ;)
to answer your question: it was Nordic Open, a wta tournament |
cat is losing his memory ;)
Lina i'm sure would have won one by now if she'd taken the Sveta route in playing lots of Tier IV and V's Lina hasn't played any of these since she was 15, and only 1 of each as well. She does play her 2nd ever Tier V in Bratislava next month, but she's short of match play this yr  Nadia is also like Lina and she's also played just the 2 Tier V's in her career and none at Tier IV yet. and if both weren't injured this year i don't think they would have changed this at all. |
I thought Likhovtseva had 2 titles
I hope Vera and Lina will be the next ones to win :) |

Oh yeah! The Nordic Open. I remember now.
It's time Lina, Nadia, Anna K. and Elena D. start playing more of these small events until they win one. But I want to see the Russian girls start to contend at the larger tournaments. But that might still be a year or two away. |
Well, you think Brazil Open, Tier II, wasn't large enough? Well, I think by her game Nastya is Top 10, and Elena B. will probably be contender in any tournament she'd play now..
|
Brazil Open was a good start, ys. But I hope a Russian woman wins a Tier 1 title next year! At thiis point I think Myskina would be the one to do it. :D
